No Rick, but come on. £49M for someone who will mainly be on the bench, football has gone mad! <steam>

£49m is truly ridiculous, but your response re Redmond did amuse me, Dave! Perhaps it was the Glenmorangie! :emoticon-0105-wink:

I'm on Glenlivet atm, and I really do think Redmond is better than Sterling, especially in attitude! <ok>

Biggest winners are QPR, £9m earnt on a player who left years ago, and never played for them.

And Redmond is in no way worth more than Sterling.

Redmond influenced every under 21 game he played in, Stirling has not influenced anything anywhere!

I don't think Redmond is worth more than Sterling, but he's no way near worth £49 million. I would honestly much rather have Redmond than Sterling though, better attitude and I think have much more potential.

Does anyone think Liverpool will make a cheeky bid for Redmond? Or will they splash the cash elsewhere or use Jordan Ibe more?

Dwight Gayle is the latest to hit the rumour trail according to the Mirror.

    Thoughts anyone ?

I wonder if we pulled out of the deal with Celta once the RvW deal fell through? Bit heavy on the CF numbers overall otherwise.

If you're meaning Redmond couldn't do it at club level, I'd have to disagree. Admittedly, he didn't do it every week, but his form towards the end of the season was fantastic. It was his shot on goal that earned us the penalty against 1p5wich and then he scored himself. Who can EVER forget his goal at Wembley??????

Yes, I wouldn't be surprised to see Loserpool try to prise Redmond away and just hope he can tell his agent where to go and that he plays in yellow and green next season!!!!

I'd certainly take him. Can't see Palace selling him on the cheap though.

I have no doubt Liverpool will be in for Redmond now... His agent is probably camped outside Anfield with a megaphone thumbing through Maserati brochures as we speak.

Seen on twitter yesterday the Rudy Gestede rumor rear it's head again. Joined by Dwight Gayle. I'm surprised we are linked with Gayle. Good age, Prem Experience, Really hard worker, and really seems to have a bit of class on the pitch. I think he has good potential.

I'd be surprised if Blackburn would let him go after Rhodes's injury, but I guess money talks and if we turn his head and offer enough then it could happen.

    Bah!
