I agree with both. They are awful commentators. Jonathan Pearce sounds like he should be presenting on Red Bull TV.

Andy Townsend has zero emotion in his voice and talks 90% bull. However, I sat next to him once at SMS and he was a lovely guy (I dont even think he was covering the game). This was our first season in the Prem and he had a load of admiration for the team, club and fans and said that he was genuinely gunning for us. I couldnt say a bad thing about him as a person. Besides... he played for us for 3 years. :)
 
I see that Harry Redknapp is being mooted as a commentator (together with Hoddle) for BT. may I put him forward as my most hated pundit....don't have to hear him to know he will easily qualify as the most annoying of all time.
 
Well this is a very negative thread and hate is a strong word to describe people that you have probably never met. Also my Mum always said to say nothing about people unless you can say something nice.
On the other hand, she enjoyed bitching about people like the next person. Leaving aside those for which I have a certain amount of contempt, that strongest emotion can only be reserved for Roy Keane. He revolts me.

Agreed. These threads should have "dislike" in the title, but we know what people mean.

There are different feelings; contemp for those who are just poor at their jobs, like the whole of ITV sport.
There is the resentment towards players who kiss the badge and then bugger off.
But Roy Keane is the only person I can think off who I might just fold my arms if he offered to shake my hand.

Off topic person to loathe but for me it would be George Galloway!! Really despicable and very arrogant. I can understand your antipathy towards Keane with regard to the way he "decapitated" a player in a tackle!
