They didn't **** it up at all. They've been in a no lose position since they walked off last night.
All over..242 all out..........England one up and on to Lords we go next Thursday for the second test.
I was pretty sure we would lose this series but the manner of that victory will inflict massive psychological damage on australia.

wood looks like a new front line bowler for sure. if he can get another couple miles an hour he's going to be awesome.
really cook failed so there are more runs
but we can't get cocky. lords pitch will suit their seamers more than this one. our team were better prpapred for cardiff... our batsmen need to perform well at lords.

Great start! Please God we keep playing the same way. Youngsters are a breath of fresh air cmpared to the old guard of Prior, Petersen, Swann and so forth.

So everything he did for all the yime before means nothing. Anderson was down there too. .. so was cook.
Yesterday was brilliant.
Great to knock that arrogant, shippy lot off kilter.
They'll come raging back next match and we need to again rise to the occasion.
We still have Butler, Cook and Bell to really fire with the bat - if they do and our middle/lower order continue in the same vein - then we have a very strong batting line up.
I don't think I've ever said that since following us - and we have a really in form Bairstow waiting if anything happens.
Also great that Wood and Mooen are doing the business with the ball which is taking the pressure off Anderson and Broad and allowing them to shine.
It was important that the latter two showed up for us to have any chance in the series - and they have!
