I think most zoo owners would agree with you.

How many animals are captured specifically to be displayed in zoos? The sad fact is, there are less and less places animals can roam safely. Zoos now tend to focus on conservation, an are involved in releasing animals back to the wild where possible.

It'd be less ethical to close zoos.

The problem is that's not the type of Zoo Flamingoland is....it's the worst kind of zoo......not enough space for the animals & the first sign of trouble like foot & mouth & they culled any animal (all perfectly healthy) which could contract the disease.

Compare that with say Yorkshire Wildlife Park......which actually has a captive breeding programme

I'd put Flamingo Land above Twydale Turkeys, but below Pepis in the ropey City sponsors league, all of those being a step up from Cash Converters.

I've no issue with a bookies, nor a drinks company, these companies only cause problems for those who abuse them.

Not true though, is it? Family and friends are often big victims

As Filey pointed out, the owners do give to charity; as a business I would not call Hull City as awash with dosh (look at our level of indebtedness) so taking something is really quite responsible. If some have an ethical issue with the zoo element then sobeit, but I haven't (unless it is a badly ran one) as zoos do a great deal of good.

Doing something positive with the club for a change is also really quite responsible. Especially as we're paying Premier League prices for our passes for Championship football. I don't have an issue with Flamingo Land - but the money we will have got from them will be **** all. We could probably have had Flamingo Land on the back of the shirt (Like Middlesbrough) and done the Charity thing. Like everything at our club, it's half arsed, last minute and a complete ****ing shambles from top to bottom. You can have your opinion, mine isn't any less valid.

Why is this sponsorship half arsed and last minute and a complete ****ing shambles? You'd like a charity on it, I would too. But we need every penny unfortunately.

I'd prefer if we had called up Disney gave away the sponsorship to them for Star Wars, had the empires logo on our kit for the price of a free ticket to episode 7 to every season ticket holder. We probably would have made more money from the increase in kit sales than we got from flamingo land anyway.

The club said this morning that they had just six weeks to sort a deal, when normally they'd be looking at these deals for six months. With a deal that ended upon relegation, it might have been a good idea not to wait until the end of May before starting to look for a new one.

Would they be allowed to look for a new deal in January? Dout the current sponsor would be happy or allow it. What other firms would be happy with us saying err if we get relegated will you sponsor us please???

Of course they could, if you've got a contract potentially coming to an end, it's perfectly reasonably to start sounding out options for a replacement.

It's planning for all eventualities. Which clearly we haven't. It is an utter shambles.

Where have I said your opinion isn't valid; there's nothing to defend there so save your effort.
You seem to ignore the charitable acts already done, but never mind, they are of no importance unless they are done with a football message. Could you tell me if you know of any charitable acts carried out in the name of Hull City? But don't spend time looking as it was really the very obvious collective sneering that I found unpalatable - there are some very big strong sticks to hit the Allams with, but this really wasn't one of them.
