I feel the Aussies will win this series I just hope we are competitive enough to hold our heads up at the end with something to build on, I would like Cook to bat and have a less negative captain, don't ask me who though
This is how I feel too.
Cook is a class batsman, but totally negative and weak as a captain. The Aussies will be very aggressive and we have to match that to stand any chance.
Cook is just too much of a whimp.

I think Cook's weakness will be the difference. Anderson should be Captain.

I had mentioned to Stan elsewhere that backing the Aussies would be like buying money. That was before we played New Zealand. Although we've improved since then, I don't think it will be anywhere near good enough. I predict the Aussies to win the series two or three nil. It goes without saying that I hope I'm completely wrong.

Now 1 for 26 with Cook playing some nice shots.
It's still the settling period for both.

Just about to post that the Aussie bowling has been poor and wide of the wicket and then Cook is caught by Hadin the keeper. Bell in to bat. 2 for 42

Why didn't we put them in to bat with overcast conditions?
The ball is swinging around and it would have been perfect for Anderson.
Haddin drops Root.
England in big trouble!
Wrong decision at the toss!

Why do you feel the need to keep on doing this?

Keep on?
Firstly, I was agreeing with the previous poster and secondly, this is a forum, right? A place for ALL views and opinions, yes? People express differing opinions on any given QPR thread, why not on a cricket one?
Was just expressing my view on cricket, if that's ok. You cannot disagree with that surely.

It was the right decision to bat, games on this ground this year haven't been won by the team batting last!Cook apart the top order has looked shaky, but Root is the main man.Haddin dropping him on 0,could prove to be extremely costly!

Clarke said he would have batted.

Good recovery from these two so far - Johnson going at 6 an over.

Still a good recovery, Ballance & Root scoring well run rate around 3 & half an over......hope that's not mockered it!!!!

190/3 at tea...England's session, 4th wicket partnership worth close to 150.....good foundation for a decent score.

Fair enough, you can post quite freely on here and within reason. There is no need to reiterate your dislike for another sport or topic so persistently. You've already told us you don't like cricket on this thread ... http://www.not606.com/threads/2nd-test-v-new-zealand.302352/#post-7984928

and that you disliked pubs on this thread ... http://www.not606.com/threads/best-pub.304597/

You also for some strange reason felt the need to respond to nearly every post on the 'Kit' thread, dismissing anyone who had the audacity to mention that they weren't happy with the new strip. It's not lost on me that the tables were turned on that thread, but the general consensus was a universal dislike of the kit/s.

You state that you're just giving us your view and only expressing an opinion, but I feel that you're doing it to wind poster's up. Say it once if you really feel the need to, but please don't keep reminding us of your opposing view on a thread that you happen to dislike. Everyone else seems to manage by just ignoring the threads that don't interest them.

Just about to post that England have had a very good 2nd and 3rd session then they lose 2 quick wickets, now 296/6........still a good recovery from 44/3.
