Barcelona are not nearly as much of a threat when Pedro plays. Still a decent player but he's got a hint of Aaron Lennon about him - "oh he's young and he will come good next year" until you realise he's 28 and never did.

I would disagree - he's played a big part in Barca's success and was pivotal in arguably the best club side in history. He will always be upstaged by others, namely Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Xavi, Iniesta etc. The same happened with Sanchez when he was at Barca - because he wasn't the star player, he was forgotten and many thought he wasn't good enough. The level at Barca is significantly higher.

Would rather take Pedro than sign someone like Benteke but i get the impression Rodgers wants a big target man therefore Pedro would be a luxury.
 
So if you were offered pedro OR lacazette you'd pick lacazette....

one can only hope rodgers is offered a choice like that by mike gordon shortly.
 
Think anyone who doesn't want Pedro is a little deluded... he'd start every week here. Would be the best finisher we have.

He's hardly failed for Barca or Spain. He's won everything possible and has contributed. Scored in the CL final for EG.

Would add a lot of ability and experience to us - great deal for £12-16m.

He'd be a steal for that price, however he's just signed a new contract so can see him costing around £20 - £25m.

Striker is a position where we have the more despearte need (despite the number of strikers currently on our books). Can't we get both though? ;)

Also: Not heard any rumours regarding CBs coming in for a while. Are we sticking with what we've got for now?

Would cost more than that...

A choice between him and benteke, it's pedro every time.

A a choice between him and lacazette and its lacazette as he's more of the cf we could do with

He could quality wise but I don't think Barca can/will demand that much given their need to trim their squad. They've got Neymar, Messi, Suarez, Iniesta, Turan, Munir to play the inside forward role before considering B players, Denis Suarez returning soon etc etc

But he signed a new contract month or two ago so they obviously either have plans for him or tied him down to get a higher price
 
look I think pedro signed up at barca to help barca. I don't think he really knows if he wants to go or not.

so.... really... i'm not pushed
 
Would take Lacazette over Pedro.

But I would take Pedro over Benteke.

I think there's an emphasis on experience over quality but in this case, not only do you get a top player but you get someone who has won everything in the game, at all levels.

He's a little snide who goes down easily and we need that!

I would not as pdos is not nor never will be a striekr so with other player sin the non striker forward areas we need a striker

we need a striker not a squaddie from barca :bandit:

Hear what you're saying but the point is I rather have an attacking player who is more in tune with our existing players rather than someone like Benteke who simply isn't.

But Pedro is versatile enough to play both roles, as is Firmino. With a front 3 of Pedro, Coutinho and Firmino, we'll be creating chances left right centre and that will excite fans and scare defences.

I rather we were in a position to miss good chances, then not create anything at all. <ok>
