Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki has accused Wimbledon of sexism after saying that women get fewer chances to feature on show courts.

The 24-year-old criticised tournament organisers after her 6-4, 6-4 loss to Spain's Garbine Muguruza in the fourth round.

She said she'd "love" to play on a big court but women weren't given the opportunity often enough.

"You only get one women's match on Court One and Centre Court," she said.

"Most of last week it was only one women's match on Court Two as well. It's definitely different, that's all I can say.

"I think a lot of us women feel like we deserve to play on the big courts in front of a big crowd as well."

A spokesman for the All England Club declined to comment.

Reporters were told during Wozniacki's press conference to "stick to tennis questions" after she was asked about an ankle injury suffered by her golf champion ex-fiance Rory McIlroy.

Why the **** did that stupid man u supporting ****er dump Wozniacki?

Oh wait. Rhetorical question <laugh>

this ****ing noise that Sharapova makes is just abhorrent and offensive... should be banned
I agree, its appalling. She even does it on shots where very little effort is required. Its worse than Seles double grunt.

The WTA should have stopped her much earlier, now its too late and is part of her game.

Vanderweghe on the other side of the net arguably hits the ball a lot harder and yet she is capable of playing three sets pretty much in silence

It's totally unnecessary, as you touch on in your point about the less forceful shots

I know from experience that it's very distracting playing against these kind of tactic... yes blokes do it too, most are just Nadal wannabes, but it's nowhere near as loud as Sharapova, i've said before it's so loud that it must be considered hindrance for the other player, yet the WTA do nothing... urgh so annoying

Wonder if you were just watching Williams- Azarenka? Tracy Austin doing commentary, says she was out on the practice courts with Sharapova on one side Azarenka the other. Azarenka doing it (grunting) even in practice, Sharapova was silent.
Interesting that Sharapova doesn't need to grunt all the time, sounds more like its part of game play just to put the opponent off.

Yeah that it's not an involuntary thing just shows it's tactical

I was watching Williams Azarenka... Serena does grunt but you can tell hers is from strain and effort, Azarenka's flaming hoot is just ridiculous frankly

Glad Serena knocked her out... should get a win against Sharapova in her semi and I would imagine will be playing Radwanska in the final

Mens' quarters today...

Pospisil v Murray... Murray win here, Pospisil has been playing some nice tennis but Murray is another level

Djokovic v Cilic... Could be a tasty match this one, Djokovic obviously had a wobble against Anderson but dug out some quality tennis when it mattered and Cilic is another tall, big serving player only he's better than Anderson and has won a major recently. Novak in 5

Simon v Federer... Federer win here, Simon is a decent baseliner but Fed will outgun him

Wawrinka v Gasquet... Wawrinka win here, he didn't have his best match ever in the last round but he has those extra gears to slip into when needed and is in the elite of players now having won two Slams proving he's got both the game and mentality, Gasquet is decent but patchy and has shown no real indication he's capable of winning a major, he doesn't match up to Wawrinka physically either which will cost him... match is battle of the one-handed backhands so a nice one to watch

Went to Wimbledon yesterday. Caught the Novak Anderson match - watching Novak look uncomfortable and generally being moody.

Saw the Muguruza and Bacinsky match. Both looking for the early finishes. Then Radwanska and Keys which with Radwanskas style meant more rallies.

I must say i generally hate back and forth rallying and standard defensive play on TV where no player goes for it but live i actually prefer them rallying a bit more.

Hope Radwanska goes to win i fancy someone who doesn't just rely on power winning.

Azarenka and Sharpova are so loud its going beyond riduculous. I could hear them on court 1 and they were both on Centre. Actually quite like azarenka minus her screeching and now she has the cheek to have a go at Rafa.

Hope you took your packed lunch fella...

Took a few goodies instead i got ripped off eating inside. Lol to be honest i was expecting that though. That's what happens when you dont plan ahead.

8 quid for a pint of pimms. 2.50 for strawberry and cream (missus loves it, also get 1 free if you are a hsbc customer), 8 quid for burger and chips (to be fair that wasn't that bad, london prices) and 4.50 for a hot dog.

Good day out though. All that posh totty there as well
