This is true, I am talking more from a striker point of view. Which you could argue is the most important position to get right this summer, I have concerns over Sturridges long term fitness. I really want Sturridge to be our number 1 but I just think he wont ever stay fit .
The alarming thing is that we currently have six strikers - Sturridge, Balotelli, Ings, Lambert, Borini and Origi - and if Sturridge is injured, we we have no-one who we'd be happy with. We seem to have moved passed the stage of bringing the easy people in and have moved onto shipping people out and youth players. It'll be itneresting to see if we stick with Benteke or move onto other targets.

For me, Jovetic would be one of the few players who could even approximate the style of Luis Suarez were we going for the same thing as 2013/14. He seems to be Sturridge-esque injury-wise though. Would be good business just to stop him scoring against us though (see also Dwight Gayle). Benteke on recent form doesn't seem much better either
9 players is a lot given how long it took last year's crop to settle! Granted, some of them are for the reserves/future though. I think our squad and first XI is better: Clyne > Johnson Milner > Current Gerrard Firmino will add more creativity from the centre when Coutinho was doing it alone last season. Can will move to DM with Hendo and Milner ahead of him which is far better than Allen, Hendo and Gerrard! However, our big two (three if you don't rate Lucas, four if you don't rate Skrtel) problem areas still haven't been solved; striker and goalkeeper...which is a worry.
Turan signed for barca even though he can't play until January... are re these players going to sit in the reserves, or be loaned back to their clubs to play until jan? Seems odd
Rodgers really stitched the club up with that one. Maybe that's why FSG got Balotelli to get revenge on Brendan for Borini
What? In order to get revenge on Brendan getting them to spend 11m plus wages on Borini two years earlier, they went out and spent 16m plus wages on Balotelli? How does that work mate?
New signings: 9 could become 8 .................... (I don't know if it's been mentioned on the forum) http://www.90min.com/posts/2327741-...ley-continue-compensation-dispute?a_aid=35322 please log in to view this image Danny Ings' Liverpool Future in Doubt After Burnley Continue Compensation Dispute Despite officially signing for Liverpool on a free transfer last month, Danny Ings' future at the club could be under threat after his former side Burnley continue their fight to receive maximum compensation for the player, according to the Mirror. It was obvious that the 22-year-old would leave Turf Moor at the end of last season, especially the Clarets failed to stay in the top flight in their first season back in the Premier League. A number of clubs were linked with a move for Ings, but it was Liverpool who secured his signature. However, due to his age, Burnley are entitled to compensation from Liverpool and as of yet the two clubs have yet to agree on a fee. The Reds' initial offer of £5m has been rejected by Burnley, who see their former striker worth more in the region of £8m. If the two clubs are unable to come to an agreement then a tribunal will be sued to decide on the final outcome, one of which could see Ings' career on Merseyside come to an end, as a result of Spurs' having reportedly lodged a £12m bid to the Clarets, prior to his move to Brendan Rodgers' side. Sean Dyche is keen to resolve the situation as quickly as possible as he embarks on reorganizing the Burnley squad ahead of their first season back in the Sky Bet Championship. With Burnley not wanting the issue to go to a tribunal either, it seems that the two sides must continue to negotiate until they reach a fee. Ings is expected to have considerable playing time under Brendan Rodgers next season, with the likes of Fabio Borini, Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli all linked with moves away from Anfield. With Daniel Sturridge's injury problems still unresolved, Ings could end up being the club's main out-and-out striker once the new campaign kicks off.
TVE are saying the Casillas to Porto will be done (either full signing or on loan) in the next few days. Not sure I believe that one. Jorge Jesus is also saying that Carvalho's staying at Lisbon.
Complete horse **** of a article. How can anyone force a out of contract player to join another club?
It doesn't say that? guessing it means if we can't agree a fee we could say no thanks, if it's anymore than 6m then we'll pull out
