Well that leaves just Roller & Staines. I can't think Nines would be so vocal against an ex-Mod like Roller & I doubt he'd go over your heads for the same reason.
Staines used to be a C18 skinhead in a former life and did the hooligan circuit. Perhaps its the zeal of the convert but I used to notice he leapt on anything that even hinted at antisemitism on here. Yep, its Stainsey for sure.

I have no involvement in this incident but this post intrigues me...
Someone took umbrage at a post and complained to the Supermods about it.
They went over your heads with their complaint.
For this crime they will receive "short shrift from us", "they will get no support or protection from us and we will leave them to hang out and dry", especially if they "choose to complain about a frequent poster" and finally " You're on your own from now on"??
I'm all in favour of proportionate responses but this does seem a little OTT to me.
Kilburn, the British soldiers who fought and thousands of whom made the ultimate sacrifice in that war are heroes, each and every one. I don't think Kiwi & Sooper quite know what they're talking about when they start making wise cracks regarding that catastrophic conflict. I think they should reign it in a little, especially now we know there's phantom ex-posters ready to take offence at everything and who have a direct line to the very men who control this Site. They're good lads but they could be sleepwalking into a whole load of trouble.
Just for the record, my grandfather, born in Germany, was in a ship that was torpedoed by the Germans in the 40s, his injuries left him a shadow of his former self and contributed to his death many years later. I had an uncle who was a POW in Burma and suffered horrific brutality at the hands of the Japs. Both, to their eternal credit, always made jokes when talking about their experiences, as if a type of coping mechanism.
However, my mum said both had suffered terrible depression and it is clear they both had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, although there was never any diagnosis or treatment in those days. I'm fully aware of many of the horrors of those conflicts and some of the stories are beyond belief. However, a little light-hearted banter without any malice intended simply can't be put into the same context and those who are offended on behalf of others really make things a lot worse than they should be...

I agree. But as you've seen from recent posts there's a tout on the loose, bypassing our own Mods and going straight to the top in order to get people in trouble. If they can have someone hauled in over a two second clip from the movie Casino, they can have you fitted up an' all.

There was pretty limited interest from waiting passengers which I have to say I found surprising given the enormous coverage that the game had received pre KO of TV in the States
What I saw was pretty good - the women's game really has improved rapidly over the last 5 years
In fact the US would've given our 2014/15 team a run for its money

I though England did very well against Germany certainly in the last 30 mins plus Extra Time looked the more likely to score......and the lass who took the corners made a better job of it than most of Barton's and Phillips efforts last season....

There's no conversation with me and anyone. The poster - who hadn't posted in 5 months - cowardly went to the Supermods when he seen a two second clip of a film (I presume he's tried to have Martin Scorsese libeled also?) without making any post on the thread to voice his concerns. Going to our own Mods would've been bad enough but what he did was farcical. Apart from anything else, Muslims were being rubbished for the entire thread yet he didn't seem to have a problem with that.
Tramore, the day I waste my time having a private conversation with a man who threatened to have me killed on here before is the day I've finally lost it altogether.
Forest, I know you're reading this. Show your hand here or forever hold your peace Sir.
(PS I don't know what you're on about regarding me blocking your PM's, Forest. I wouldn't know how to even if I wanted to)

No I didn't take it seriously. I couldn't give a fiddlers. But it does paint the guy in a certain light given that he's gone scurrying off to the Supermods over a 2 second clip of a bloody film!
It was months ago. He said he'd served in the Army in Northern Ireland and I was lucky he didn't know me then or he'd have come across the border and "sorted me out". If I remember correctly both Stan & Nines chastised him about it at the time. It was just banter but he'd lost the rag a bit over my Forest Gump jibes.
The guy needs to come out of hiding and put up or shut up

FYI Swords the report button which is below your signature allows any poster to report something that they feel is inappropriate, however it goes to the supermods who then refer the matter back to us to consider as 999's has already mentioned. It is not a case of scurrying off anywhere, if is more of a case of someone not following board guidelines.
Now to be honest Swords this thread has been hi-jacked enough. If you wish to continue the debate do so in private where you can discuss why he chose to post a threat of violence towards you even though both of you post anonymously (seriously i despair) and you can explain why you refer to him as Forest Gump......After that is resolved you can discuss in private why he felt your post was inappropriate and you can tell him why you posted it...you never know you might just resolve the whole episode.......
