Am happy about this, he has signed a 3 year extension. Can see him being a future star, nice bit of business keeping him.

Great news, been tracking him a while.

He seems like a really good kid with the right attributes to succeed.

I've heard that he is very hard working, often seen doing extras on his own, or in a small group, outside of usual training periods.

So far so good and I'm happy his Dad put him in the car and drove him hear himself when things weren't working out at Manchester Utd. Thanks Dad <ok>

There is a lot of potential there and glad he has signed. Maybe it is time he goes out on loan to get some first team experience.

Is it just me, but it seems like all these youngsters show promise etc etc but eventually they never get anywhere near the first team. Ben Davies is the only one who has made the step up successfully. Now we've signed Ayew and Eder and ....(mind's gone blank) and they have even less chance.

But if we sell them for any where the money we sold Allan or Davies then that must be a + and with Cat 1 status expected who knows who we may find
also in this has to reflect on the Academy , even though he hadn't come through the ranks he's still being developed within it's structure , Donnelly although gone has been sold albeit for a modest fee along with Jazz so there can be a financial return on some players

Short of Southampton I don't think any PL side has that many coming through.

I think our business model always included upgrading our academy in both infrastructure and players aswan, why I think we'll see some academy players start to drip into the first team soon.

We don't or wont buy big, why I think our academy is important to us. Imo, we are looking to be as self sufficient as we can be, particularly in the costly and very risky transfer markets. We know the type of player we want and we are looking to mold young talent into that player. It will take time but already we are talking about several academy players as potential bench or starters this coming season.

My picks include Barrow, Gorre, Grimes, Fulton, Shehan and Hanley. Zabret apparently is a superb young keeper too but his chances will be limited at best, due to his position not lack of talent and I like the look of Alex Bray too, but its a bit early for him.

Personally I think all mentioned abave are ripe to be loaned out for good long stints which will expose them to the rough and tough world of first team football. Hopefualy they'll be tempered through competition and will come back to us fit to go. Cardiff need any loanees? its gone very quiet out East.

Monk has got his finger right on the pulse all the way through Swansea football club. We have never been in better shape and hopefully this will transfer to the pitch with all the sides competing in their leagues this season.........

So,when is he going to actually win something tangible? Not just a made-up "record season".
