    Useful to hear Koeman say that he can play in more than one position in the defence. Gives us RB and LB cover.

    Erwin Koeman knows him well. If he thinks Cuco can do the job, then this sounds like a good move. A young player who could improve and could conceivably find playing time at three positions (if only late in games as a sub) which would give us depth and an opportunity to rest some players while in the meantime he will can ease his transition and get the playing time he needs via semi-regular appearances with a chance for more than that if he proves his worth on the pitch.

    Quoted as GBP 3M. Seems a good price for a squad rotation player for what will be a long season and, as St Bendy has written, could provide cover along the back line.

    He plays centre back and right back. More right back than centre back this season. I imagine he'll just be a backup option.

    This signing doesn't get me particularly excited. Hopefully the big Dutch legend knows what he's doing. I'm sure our coaching team have magic full-back dust anyway, as they all turn out quality. So we can just use that
