Clayton Donaldson will not be sold during this transfer window despite reported interest from Yorkshire. Leeds United are rumored to be lining up a bid for the marksman, after he bagged 16 goals last season. Leeds United may be targeting Donaldson as they are aware he has strong links to the area, and some of his family are big Leeds fans. Will this be enough to tempt the front man to move to the club? We're looking to offer money and Billy Sharp for Jamie Murphy also interested in Jamie Paterson of Forest and Nicky Maynard is meant to be in talks with the club
Paterson is a winger, I thought Murphy was also a winger. Maynard used to have a good goalscoring record at Bristol City (I think it was) but since a big money move away from them hasn't done much at all.
"Everton have joined Newcastle and Sunderland in the chase to sign Leeds United right-back Sam Byram." Presumably this is if they sell Coleman to the scum. Also I've seen more articles about Paterson being mentioned
Also another link which I just read (it seems completely random) is Simone Pepe. Ex-Juventus winger who has 23 caps for Italy, he has just been released by Juve and is looking for another club.
Chris Kirkland is now a free agent. Anyone think it'd be worth having a punt on him to compete with Silvestri?? We only have 2 keepers and one is 20 years old, dunno when he'll be ready
He cries on tele and big clubs like Leeds are on tele a lot.... He wouldn't join us... And we wouldn't want the soft tart.
yes if he will come on a free transfer for goalkeeper , but if we are to win the championship we need to score 130 goals and goals conceeded 69 thats 1.5 per game. if leeds dont score 110 goals you can forget leeds getting into the play offs
Actually we have 4 keepers. But as 3 of them are 20/21 or under and our first choice is hardly experienced a more experienced keeper would make sense. We had a deal agreed a month or so ago for one, but it fell through. We then went and got the American kid, so my guess is we'll stick with what we have. A risk in my view.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Bjarnason was set for a £700,000 move to Torino this month and the deal looked set for completion. However the stumbling block was at the personal terms, where Bjarnason and his agent demanded €500,000 per year as opposed to the €450,000 that Torino were offering. This higher wage was demanded after an agreement was made between the two parties, which may suggest that Leeds came in with a bid at the last minute as they are in the market for a central midfielder and left winger, two positions that Bjarnason can play in.
I called for us to sign him back when we had Schmeichal (as a back-up). Be a good signing to have I think.
