Yet the main issue still remains for Liverpool, they are financing a rival in Southampton to a new level by buying their deadwood for crazy prices. If anything was made obvious last season it was that the players taken off Saints hands by Liverpool for extortionate prices have in a sense ' removed the shackles ' for Saints to barge their way into EL footy with some astute purchases. Suffice to say this deadwood from Saints has dragged Liverpool to mid table mediocrity. Whether the same will apply to Nathaniel Clyne only time will tell, but I'm inclined to say yes.
You may have had other decent players, some of whom may have been better, but they were hardly your deadwood. You may have had other decent players, some of whom may have been better, but they were hardly your deadwood.
The form of Dejan Lovren has made a mockery of this statement.
Isn't it three - Firmino, Sakho, Henderson?
Worryingly, most of the expensive players don't make the team...
You had a fantastic honeymoon period for the first half of last season. New manager + no expectations meant you did very well. I think you then started to stumble from Christmas and find a more normal form. I really don't see you coming close to us next year tbh, especially with EL which could decimate you. Whilst we gave you a lottery win last summer, it has certainly not been the case for this year: let's face it, Clyne for £12.5m is great deal for us - certainly more so than £30m for fatty shawcross.

Forgot hendo but in theory replace him with Lucas and swap Lucas and can over and have more balanced side which is cheaper
At the moment, we can still swap Sterling for Firmino and make it even cheaper.

lol
don't worry about it we have literally zero concern about what you do

) but I'm sure that Liverpool would keep an eye on their new found rivals such as Saints, Swansea and stokeLierally zero
The scouts must have Southampton season tickets at this stage ! I understand that you are prone to the occasional exaggeration ( Liverpool's attack second best in the league minus Suarez) but I'm sure that Liverpool would keep an eye on their new found rivals such as Saints, Swansea and stoke
Why worry about what you can't control. if we win enough games don't need to worry about anyone else, we'll hit our targets.

Also didn't quite catch the news that all the Stoke players were actually Southampton players in disguise for the last day of the season. Or are Southampton fans just taking the credit for Stoke's win anyway...?
