Woopey ****ing dooooooo. I hope Jose knows what the **** he is doing. This stinks of Juan Veron. Class player, signs for United, is ****, signs for Chelsea, is still ****. At least its only on loan. And maybe being with Costa again may resurface some of the magic, but people said that about Torres when Rafa came to Chelsea. Who knows? As long as he is not our 1st choice striker then I guess I can't complain (too much), just an expensive understudy. (The irony, how Costa was his understudy for a period at Atletico, how the tables have turned).
Least this mistake wont cost us 30-50 million like the last 2 over the hill forwards we brought in!! I hope I'm wrong but can't see this coming off. Wonder who will be 3rd choice? Remy, Bamford, a.n.other?
Can't see it either, but what the hell, like you say, its a one season loan so...... Ideally Remy would stay, but don't think he will, I also have a feeling that anyone suggesting Bamford being in our squad is having delusions. Bamford will be loaned to a PL club for one more season, then flogged (ala Lukaku).

Interesting to see how this plays out, see if Jose continues to play him if he is playing bad just as he did with Torres hoping he would come good. Just as LVG did, could cost you goals even games
Main difference this time around is that Falcao is not our No,1 striker, Costa is. We relied on Torres far too much, as he was mostly first choice. So I cannot see it costing us as much as Torres did. Plus it is only a loan, so we won't face the problems trying to unload him if he fails that we did with Torres where no one would touch him because of his wages.
Like I said, when I think about it, its a reasonable gamble, its a one year loan, he will be cheaper than us wage wise than he was for United because his stock has plummeted after last seasons ****ty showing. Not sure if we are paying an upfront loan fee, no mention in the articles I have seen. But unlike Torres, he will be second choice, and as its a loan, we can just say "adios" at the end of the season if it doesnt work out, so
yes. He had 1 decent game if I recall, and that his debut at Anfield against Pool, (think that might have even been the game he scored in, cannot remember). But then he was just ****e, injured or benched. Saw him play half a dozen times after Liverpool and he was ****e in pretty much all of them.
Yeah he scored and played well in his debut at Anfield. We won 2-1. Was ****e thereafter. I remember a particularly awful game when we lost at home to a 10 man side in a C.L group game. Have a feeling it was Besiktas or someone of that ilk. He was woeful that day. Veron just wasn't suited to the pace of the premier league. Torres, Sheva and (probably) now Falcao are players who have had one bad injury too many and lost the edge that made them so good and in turn lost confidence. Seeing Sheva's deterioration first hand was pretty heart breaking.
Indeed. He was one of the worlds best at one point too With Torres it was more frustration, he had showed glimpses of ***ness at Liverpool (***ness = his skills diminishing), and I perfectly believe the same thing would have happened if he had stayed at Pool. One injury too many. Coupled with a ****ty start at CFC and his confidence just got sapped. The frustration was because we couldn't ****ing unload him. No one would touch him, and could you blame them. "Take this ****ty player, he only wants 150k per week"
