Not really - he doesn't move more than Balotelli. Nor does he run in behind the defence. If fans have a problem with Mario, then don't expect anything different from Benteke - UNLESS we play to their strengths.

Genuine question - have you actually these two players play? And I'm not talking about highlight packages, or MOTD etc - I'm talking about watching full matches, at different levels at different clubs? Mario is by far a better footballer and can offer a lot more. But the point I'm making is that if we don't play to Mario's strengths i.e have runners playing close to him and making runs beyond him, then what gives you the confidence that Rodgers will do the same for Benteke? What if Rodgers plays Benteke as the lone striker and completely isolates him? Either way - I don't want either player. We're simply replacing Mario with another, less talented version of Mario.
I watch a lot of football mate from all over, just don't feel the need to mention that I do every other post - yes I've seen them both play and IMO benteke will offer so much more to us. They simply do not play the same game so saying its a like for like is ridiculous. Give me a focused professional with the attitude to go with it over a ****ing celeb wannabe any day

If you think that is all Benteke is then I have to question whether you've in fact seen him play? He has great ball control, gets his head up to link up play, plays with intelligence (does the right thing as opposed to sturridge and Mario's shoot at all costs) loves a little flick or 2, wins everything, strong as **** and most importantly - he knows where the back of the net is! Genuinely can't see why people (its not just you) are so concerned about this signing if it happens. You can have all the talent in the world, don't apply it right and you'll fade away VERY quickly - see Ronaldinho
Must be watching a different player - his ball control is not great, it's actually quite poor and he's not intelligent. Agree - his ability to play as a target man is good but that's down to playing long balls or crossing - 2 things which we don't do. But it's something we'll have to agree to disagree on. Re. your last point - give me Ronaldinho at his pomp for just one season than 9 seasons of Benteke. We almost won the league thanks to Suarez and he was only here for a few years. Give me a talented player who has his eye on a bigger club after 3-4 years than someone like Ings or Lallana who will stay until they retire.

When was the last time you actually made a postive comment? I'm wondering if your just habitually putting a downer on every thing... Benteke is a solid player. My only question is whether he fits our system. But if he can fit Belgiums maybe he can fit ours. If he comes lets give him a chance.
