Not many of the first team there, fitting score line but would have been nice to see a young player score, would love Jake Hessenthaler to come on in the second half and score.

Hawkes for Gazzaniga and Kedwell for Stefan Payne are the changes for the second half

thought exactly the same thing gillsboi!

hear that he had trials at rushden and bromley a couple of years back..obviously never made the grade?

afusi; 28 a striker from nigeria played greece, portugal and romania.
maybe worth a week to week deal?

would offer baldwin a deal though...might not be the next smalling, but you never know!!

would like to hear more from hess or anyone on this gazzaniga(gazza) the keeper from velencia youth team if more info, and how he's doing?

he seems to have made 2 big mistakes in games with his kicking but then followed those up with superb saves. think royce kicking and brown shot stopping :p ok maybe thats a little harsh/generous. i dont think he'd push flitney but may be ok as cover on cheap wages. think theres better goalies out there.

think with baldwin its a case of lets see if hartlepool are interested if they are we defo offer a contract if they're not we can offer a lesser contract and get him on the cheap as lets be honest we are well covered in defence with youngsters

I was there last night (and tweeting!). To be honest it was a pretty bland tie, typical pre-season game really. Ramsgate looked half decent and caused the makeshift back four a few problems but we looked in control most of the time, without creating too much.

Kosylo was the pick of the players, he looked very comfortable on the ball and got around the pitch a fair bit. The keeper (Bogganzzia, or something like that) made two good stops and looked very comfortable considering how disorganised the back four were at times. The greek lad looked ok but is very one footed, so probably won't be picked up. Asuif doesn't offer anything more than we already have with Oli so I doubt will we sign him either.

Kedwell looked a big powerful foward, more mobile than Bayo was, but not much more though. Birchall looked very good, his pace and movement really turned the game around so I am quietly confident he can do the business for us

Every game this kosylo seems to have impressed people so i think he may be the next and maybe final signing (depending on whether we find a keeper good enough to push for palces).

hessy has in no uncertain terms, said that the young paolo gazzaniga the keeper certainly interest him and he's impressed the staff.
only thing is he speaks very little english!...thats one area he would need to be good for sure being a goalkeeper!!!
