if can milner and henderson are too light weight fine. we do still have to sign the striker i agree the excuse time is long past. i'd have sacked last december but here we are..
I said it before; I believe Barca's transfer ban doesn't stop them from signing players, ie agreeing a fee and personal terms with a player. However it does stop the player from moving to Barcelona immediately and players would join the club when the ban ends. So in this case Pogba would move to Barca on the 1st Jan 2016. So Barca are unlikely to be shedding any players this summer as they'll need them for the first half of the season.
To be fair, my problem isn't with age - it's with underlying quality. The only two leaders in this team (IMO) are Sakho and Can - both of are relatively young. Give me Coutinho over Lallana. Give me Can over Lucas/Milner/Gerrard. Give me Sterling over Lambert. Give me Clyne over Johnson. Just a few examples of where young players are far better than their older/more experienced counterparts. Age isn't the issue - it's the poor quality of the senior players.
can't give you stelring over anyone as he's off but hey... lfc gave your coutinho and can and clyne in the buying policy... lallana and lambert were abhorrations i still question right now LFC have clyne, sahko, lovern, moreno, can, henderson, ibe, firmino, coutinho all 25 or under. mingolet is 27 which is young fir a keeper. skertl and milner are the only older heads and they are 30 and 29 respectively. and i've only named those likely to start i nthe first 11 there... btw benteke is only 24. so............ if anything we are following the grand plan liad down by FSG.
Grand Plan Do you really think the main beneficiary of the club planned to waste upwards of 150 million on a 6th place finish ?
whats the story with utd? are they saying its either schneiderlin or sweinsteiger? theres not actually been a second bid for the guy yet.
I have a feeling a deal is already done with someone. When we signed Depay I read an article with a very interesting bit which was never mentioned again, there was just this comment "Depay is Uniteds first signing of the window with two others just waiting to put pen to paper at the start of July". Given that we put a lowish bid in for Morgan 10 days ago and done nothing since and have reduced our bid for Ramos, I am wondering if they are just to throw people off the real deals.
well.... theres signed and signed. I dunno that the two you mentioned would be either ramos or schenierlin as it seems theres hard negotiations going on there The someone you mention could be younger players. anyone just waiting to sign on july 1 sounds like contracts expiring almost but who knows

I would doubt it`s either of those two. When you say hard negotiations is that what you would call a first bid 10 days ago then nothing (Morgan), or dropping your first bid by a couple of mil (Ramos)?
put it this way. nobody in real or southampton have denied hard bids were entered have they? its hard to say of course.... i suppose when sky sources say x and y they mean they talked to someone with real info. Put it this way just cos city have not bid for last 2 weeks doesn't mean i don't think they will be back still. it is always a dance with both sides wanting great deals. it would be interesting to see who's next for sure.
Agents working hard again. Lacazette name is back up about arsenal and chelsea . Originally I heard he and the other guy at lyon promised they'd not go this year. Alderweireld is being talked about at spurs and south liverpool. After that the shaqiri stuff is coming up again for everton. Not sure he can move again this calender year so one to watch.

I'd say it's Clyne, Firmino and the chance to play with the legend that visitors James Milner. Transfer success begets transfer success and all that.
