It's not ideal, but I just don't see the point of 'settling' for Benteke, especially at the price.

I'm actually very annoyed with the committee, Rodgers etc for having 3 transfer windows to find a quality striker to replace Suarez and the best we can come up with are Lambert, Mario, Ings, Origi and potentially Benteke.

With Mario and Sterling, play them in a two and we will get more out of them.

As you know full well considering the Mario signing, I'd never just settle for a player. I don't give a **** if it does leave us short, save the money and look to cope whilst aiming to buy in the next window. Use the time to scout properly. No point in buying someone that doesn't fit or work, its just a waste of resources.

and the silver lining is rodgers will be sacked as well.

Its priority 1 IMO to get a striker but not just anyone as you say. very wise. It must be the right pick not any more compromises.

Couldn't give a **** about Coates only going for £2m. He's not being used and been here an age, expecting to end up leaving for free so just getting him off the books is good news IMO
