A lot of early business in the transfer market (not to mention the plethora of **** OT threads on here <whistle>) has got me looking forward to the new season already. This means I'm going to be impatient for footie to start when I should be enjoying several weeks of what is whimsically regarded as summer in this country.

During the season, I find myself, after each game, immediately impatient for the next one. I'm wishing my life away waiting for football, and despite the sense of bathos incurred by most games I'm still up for the next one straight away.

I've suddenly realised how I've managed to attain my current venerable age without actually noticing most of my life along the way.

I hate football.

I would be really bored most of the time if there was no football. Football is brilliant and I'm so glad I'm not one of those losers who don't watch it.

This has been one of the worst summers for me. Usually there is some football - European championship, World Cup and if not football then the Olympics. This year nothing but the women Football World Cup ...and that has been rank.

Just cannot wait for the premiership to start.

34C here and very sunny in Mallorca. How I miss standing on an open terrace in darkest December with the freezing rain pouring down my neck!! Back in the UK on Wednesday and I'll try to drag this sun and heat with me on the plane!
 
I'm dreading the start of the PL simply because I think our team is still sh*t.

I think we're a couple of quality signings away but all things are pointing to signing Benteke.
