Yes just about I've seen both players a fair amount, I'm a fan of both and I think the pair of them is just what the PL needs as it's lacking a bit of flair at the moment.

So you watch a lot of Brazilian internationals and Hoffenheim games<laugh>

As much as I want L'pool to fail miserably I hope players like Firmino turn out to be world class. God knows the PL needs a bit more flair and technical brilliance . .

Don't you watch the Spanish highlights also?

Sometimes.

How do you know your new fella is still any good?

Football highlights are the main source of knowledge of the average footy fan mate other than the games you get to go to how else do you form an opinion on a player? MOTD is the answer.

I've got Sky and BT sports on the laptop and a 16 year old son so we watch a lot of footy, live games and highlights. So stop your bullying PJ. :)

I had no idea about Gerry before he came and had my expectations tempered by Martinez saying he wouldn't be a regular/see the best of him until after Xmas.

When he did play he was hit and miss, but got you on the edge of your seat every time he had the ball. I sat with home fans at OT as his cameo tore them apart.

I have no idea how he played last season as I had assumed he would never come back, however I am excited to be excited by him again.

Exactly.

He's that sort of player. Unpredictable, frustrating at times, but bloody talented and lightening quick.

Having an option like him in our squad is a massive lift

To bring some balance to this thread, we have signed players who have proven the ability to perform at the highest levels (Milner) or who are unproven but with the potential to develop to that level (Ings)

Deulofeu is a good signing for Everton but has proven several times now he's incapable of playing at the top level (enough for Everton's push to get top half though)

Deulofeu proved that he was good enough to be part of as side that finished 5th in the PL you bitter tit.

....and then formed part of the side that won the EL.....

So best case scenario: 5th

We're in agreement <ok>

<laugh> at your [HASHTAG]#desperate[/HASHTAG] Europa league comment; 5 appearances (3 as sub), 0 goals, and no appearances beyond the round of 32 (first leg) when he was subbed on after 92 minutes, yeah he was crucial <cheers>

Great

To bring some more balance to the thread Ings has the potential to be a Man City substitute then...
Thanks for clearing that up..

Ings to develop into what?

Let's look at what Rodgers has done with the strikers he has signed so far. Or how Ings managed at the U21's.....

Rodgers, spending £120m to regress 22 points#rodgersthefraud

Every player Rodgers has bought for them has gone backwards, Suarez brought the best out of Sturridge, Sterling and Coutinho. Now he has gone Brendan has sent them backwards.

No, Sturridge had a great season. It was just Roy's fault he has biscuit legs and injured him once allowing Rodgers to blame the two other times he rushed him back On England and not his pathetic Mia management [HASHTAG]#spendbigtoregress[/HASHTAG]

Those two other injuries were on the other leg, one was the thigh and one the calf. Still Roy`s fault though :bandit:

So 5 appearances in the competition that his side won then? That'll make him a EL winner.

We're in agreement <ok>

So being part of a side that finished 5th in the league equates to him being 'proven' not good enough at this level, and yet Ings being part of the side that got relegated in 19th and being a year older somehow makes him 'potential'?

Once again I've tied you in knots, give it up, you clueless bitter ****wit <laugh>
