He's never needed 3rd person validation in the past, even he must be getting embarrassed by the bullshit he posts now. So much so, he's trying to palm it off onto his 'mate' <laugh>

Perhaps he means that he played at a lower level than they're used to seeing from Cech?
He did concede against some teams that you'd expect Chelsea to shut out, to be fair.
His international record wasn't what you'd have thought he'd manage, either.
2 goals conceded in Kazakhstan isn't going to be the highlight of his career, I wouldn't have thought.

I agree that Cech is still one of the best keepers in the Premier League, but I think you're overselling Mourinho's will to keep him.
He didn't want to sell him because he's not going to get a backup keeper of the same quality and experience.
That Robert Green's being linked with the vacancy speaks volumes. That's quite a drop off.

If Abramovich overruled Mourinho, then we'll all hear about it from the horse's mouth.
He'll happily point the finger at anyone to deflect blame, unless it's one of his main players.
That might result in a polonium P45, with a bit of luck.

He's also ditched the failed wumming from a Spud perspective and made allegiances with Chelsea instead.

    What a ****ing Sellout.

We'll see. The truth will likely come out at some point. Ultimately though, as odd as it seems, I'm not too bothered why they are selling him. We have bagged on of the best keepers in the league and it will undoubtedly strengthen us next season.

Cech will be a great signing for the Goons. Other than the fact I wouldn't wish to see Petr in opposition I wish the lad the very best. Apart from Courtois and De Gea there is no one better between the sticks in the prem but his kicking will infuriate.

For the Arsenal faithful he particularly likes the 'Petr Cech's won the European Cup' ditty. Sing it loud and proud. :emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0136-giggl

    Or more likely;

    1. His 'mate' doesn't exist

    or

    2. He was just putting a brave face on losing a quality player to the Gooners and spouting ****e about him, which suited both of their agendas.......

p.s. How do you know he was at fault for the 2 goals the Czech's conceded to Kazakhstan? The opposition doesn't matter, any team can score a decent goal, daft comment that.

You know that you can actually see those goals, don't you? We're on the ****ing internet, you know! <laugh>
Both from corners and both were poorly defended. He didn't command his box, didn't organise his defence and conceded two sloppy goals.

As if you'd actually watched them before you made that post, you whopper <laugh>
In any case, the first one was a near post flick on that resulted in the ball pinging about the box, not his fault at all. The second he lost the flight of the ball I think, so you could maybe partially fault him for it, but it doesn't alter the fact he's still top drawer, and a great piece of business for Arsenal. He'll be worth at least 6-9 points to them this season.

Lots of rumours about Vidal to Arsenal, but they all come from one source. So it could be bollocks. Top quality player, but I'm not sure where he'd fit in at Arsenal to be honest. Rather we went for Schniederlin

  14. Former United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel has urged current number one David De Gea, 24, to reject Real Madrid and become a United legend.
    (The Sun)

Trouble is, son, they're all plastics these days.
    <ok>

You've got more chance of Rooney canceling his subscription for People's Friend than De Gay staying at United!

The Spuds have taken an £8m hit on Paulhino who is expected to sign for Chinese club, Guangzhou Evergrande.

Paulinho looked like quite a good player at the 2014 World Cup, but never really showed that quality again once he'd signed for Spurs.

Is that the Brazil side who got their arses handed to them by Germany? 7-0 I believe it was?

The truth is he was overrated as he was Brazilian. And was just a cog in what we now know as a poor Brazil side. But, of course, why let the truth get in the way of your desperation to find anything to have a pop at Spurs about?

Pretty sure it was after the Confederations Cup you signed him as well, and he did have a good tournament there.

  18. We spent badly on a number of signings, Pauhlino being just one of them. It happens.

We've also made very good and decent signings, over the years - RvD, Modric, Bale, Eriksen, etc.

It's always going to be swings and roundabouts.

So long as we make more on the roundabouts than we lose on the swings, I'm content.

I suppose in relative terms, £17mill, or whatever looked fair value. He's just never really settled, and, from what I've seen of him, he was overrated and therefore we were probably expecting too much.
