Eh?

The Romans swarmed across Scotland until they reached the Grampians. It was at this point they realised they were going to find nothing but rocks and thistles and turned back.

The damage had been done, though. Scotland was lumbered with its first pizzeria. In Greenock.

<laugh>

Like I said, the Romans were pussies. They then went to a lot of effort to build not one but two walls to keep that pizzeria at Greenock. Must have been a really ****e pizzeria. Probably the first Pizza Hut.

Reactions: Ponders Revisited
So, let's get this right....

The Viking invaders were never a conquering army. They were raiders who shagged oor wimmin and then left.

The Roman pussies tried and failed mainly because the gay tally bastards were too feart of our wimmin and built two big walls to keep them away.

The Nigels were a conquering army, shagged oor wimmin and stayed. Till Senga got fed up sookin Nigel cock and then it all kicked off and we won our freedom.

I think that sums it up.

'Fraid not. <laugh>

I wrote a dissertation on the political impacts Scandinavia had on England during the Viking Age that was about 5000 words. The essay included a comparison of Anglo-Saxon kingship, Norse kingship in Danish-occupied England and Norman feudalism.
5000 words.

Were you told to limit your dissertation to this amount or did you use bullet points?

I use 5000 words when I write a sick note for one of my children.

Yes. I actually wrote around 5500 because you were allowed 10% either way.

Oooft, then Ponder calls him out again <laugh>

This is like watching librarians having a punch up <laugh>

I wasn't being rude, G.

I am curious as to how so much information can be effectively conveyed in so few words.

But Bret obviously knows his stuff and has done a fine job in getting his points across.
