    I read reports that we were interested but isn't he a number 10 which I think we've got covered anyway. Might be a good signing, but knowing Brendan he will probably play him as right back anyway.

    So is this guy a striker? Is it the end for Balotelli and Lambert?

    The RS fans can be predicted to have egg on their faces every season.

    Wasn't it last summer they were celebrating getting lovren, lallana markovic, mankovic, balotelli as world class and the best premiership transfers?

    Some just do not learn. I suppose that's the reason why they are called the RS. <ok>

    Skylarker and DR will be soiling themselves with excitement at this signing. If they ever come out of hiding!

    Can only repeat what I said the other day;

    This time it's you lot who are allegedly snatching him from us.

    My money is he'll start well, be confirmed to be what you all already knew as world class, disappear around winter time and then he'll re emerge next season when he'll have the odd decent (world class) game here and there but in the main be consistent in his inconsistency.

    And we'll be relived we never went anywhere near him.

    There's no dislike to him. The stance by everyone has been consistent...we simply dont know about him.

    But here's the thing LG, a rumour circulates that United are interested in Firminho. The next thing we hear Liverpool are linked with him and plenty of weight behind this. Meanwhile no further news of United on Firminho at all. Next thing Liverpool are signing him for a whopping £30m. It's not surprising to think Liverpool have been played by the agent or club here.

    It's not even that. As I said on the Rumour thread when it was first touted - is another number 10 attacking mf needed when we have Rooney, Mata, Januzaj and even Di Maria being played out of position bcos we have too many players for that spot already.

    It all smells of a stitch up by the agent. As I said earlier a rumour circulates that United are interested in the player for 15m and then the RS buy him for up to 29m. If people cannot see this obvious tactic then they are more deluded and ******ed than I thought.

    We had no need for him and every player coming up for sale has "United target" leaked by his agent. To be fair to the press none has actually said that the RS won the duel for the signature. What amazes me(still over so many years) that so many of their buys are touted as massive triumphs when they are mostly punts on potential. They cannot even keep Sterling, the player who was supposed to be their lynchpin for the next decade.<laugh>
