Obviously a very good toss to win for Somerset yesterday morning. Nobody has found batting easy today, as 14 wickets have fallen for under 190 runs. No more rain forecast for this game so following on Hants are going to have to bat out of their skin - but it would appear a hopeless task being so far behind and still 2 full days left.

Interesting decision to enforce the follow on. It gives Hants the faintest of hopes because if they can bat well and get a lead of 150+ then you never know. Obviously it's a very big if but you never know.

Agreed, but i think most captains would have enforced the follow-on in these conditions and with their opponent on the ropes - its working for them anyway as they already have Jimmy Adams wicket !

We took 144-8 ourselves don't forget. For me therefore, the fact that we let them get to 202-2 before that is just as big an issue as our batting. Reading the cricinfo report last night, it seems like we beat the bat time and time again yesterday morning, and that it was clear from quite early on the pitch favoured the bowlers. We also dropped Hildreth quite early on.

Thankfully Notts are struggling themselves, so we may well stay outside of the bottom two.

England win the toss and Morgan decides to bat first. This should be an absolute cracker if the 50 over series was anything to go by.

So we had no Vince for no ****ing reason then. Great. Thanks England.

You can't have expected him to play surely. Vince and Topley were always going to be called up just to carry the drinks. Their only chance was someone picking up an injury.

Well England made that look easy. New Zealand bowled out for 135 in 16.2 overs, England win by 56 runs. Great game.
