Hopefully after our signings are done, if Morgan hasn't had an offer come in for him then I think he'd be happy to stay for another season. We could really push on if we keep hold of him & Toby.

And what happens if Rodriguez doesn't find his form again or does his knee in again? What happens if Pelle goes on another drought? What happens if Juanmi struggles to adapt to the PL? We score **** all goals. We need another CF,

What if that new CF doesn't score, then we not another one. And what if than one doesn't score either, then we need another one. What if...

2015 - love the fact we're only buying Internationals and young ones too and some people not sure if they'll be up to it! I'm sure it wasn't that long ago we were buying players from Bristol Rovers and we had to make them Internationals!

I actually met a lifelong Bristol Rovers fan the other day. He and other rovers fans still go on about Sir Rickie as much as we do. He said he was an all round top guy and so happy for him and everything he has achieved. Rather like us really.

We score **** all goals. We need another CF, Long doesn't score that many and apart from youth, we only have Pelle as an out and out CF and as much as I like him, he struggled for much of the 2nd half of the season. Austin would really bolster our goals tally. For those saying we have enough, what was the primary reason we faded away from the top 4 last season? Lack of goals. We've got the defensive foundation sorted and with Juanmi and Jay Rod next season, we'll have more creativity and more goals. But if we add Austin into that, we could have the makings of a substantial top 4 challenge.

We didn't score a massive amount of goals all season except for some notable exceptions - Sunderland, Newcastle and Aston Villa. It was our defensive record which was so impressive..
Unfortunately we started conceding a lot more due to injuries so the pressure to score more goals was more telling.

But even when we weren't conceding, the lack of goals became a problem. We had 5 goals in 9 matches at one point, failing to get on the scoresheet in more than half those games...hard to win much that way.

I will admit I have not seen enough of him to know if he could handle say 15 matches up front on his own in a side potentially battling for top 6ish finish and Europe progression. Maybe he can

Hey Beefy, how far off the first team is Jason McCarthy these days? Is he likely to get game time if Clyne does stay?
Saints see him as a cb so a few seasons yet. We have a few I that are on the fringes:

Wood
Gape
Seager
Hesketh

I could see a few of the above getting the odd game.

McCarthy
Sims
Gallagher
Mugabi
Debayo
Stephens

I rate highly as well.

I still think there is at least one or two good seasons to come from Sir Rickie. IMO he would be the ideal backup for pelle. Doesn't need to play 90 each week and can keep goals ticking along whilst we see how good Gallagher and seager are. Liverpool want rid I think so I reckon it's time for the Return of the King...

Not going to happen. Besides, why block the path for the likes of Seager and Gallagher with someone who's past his best?
