17 from 12 with 1 over of power play left.

JB on 71.. Top knock after coming in for Butler.

All over.

Bairstow wins it and wins the series!!

what a brilliant series, England and NZ have been fantastic.

Brilliant test, brilliant ODI and hopefully a good t20 to finish it off before the ashes

you've got to hand it to the Kiwi's, they showed the way and have made it a great summer of cricket so far. <ok>

great team.

Watch it all come crashing down in a 5-0 loss to Australia in the Ashes though <whistle>

I watched it live and the kiwis really did let us off the hook. In fairness to our lads they took is well enough but bairstow was dropped on a gimme and then smashed the power play which i didn't know we still had at time of writing yesterday.

New Zealand will be very disappointed.

Interestingly though it does give us a dilemma now....how much of this kind of "positive intent cricket" do we take across to the test team? Up until a month ago you'd have said we only have one style of play across all the formats (slow and steady....only useful in test cricket these days). Now though there is the possibility that some of these one day players could be pushing for test places too. It will be interesting to see the dynamic of the England team come the first test match.
