Tettey's knees are suggesting a run of games for Mulumbu starting in the middle of October: please log in to view this image
Looks like whoever updates wikipedia is getting a bit 'trigger happy' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Youssouf_Mulumbu
Mulumbu has been discussed pretty thoroughly, but it seems like excellent business and a very solid addition. What would people think of Nikica Jelavic? Hull supposedly want just £3m for him, because despite a 30% salary cut he's still going to be on £30k in the championship next season. He's 29, but is probably verging on being called "proven" in the Prem. 8 goals in 26 last season, probably his best return to date, and that's on the service of a club similar to us in stature. That said, we'd probably want him to have a wage cut to something we could handle if we went down, and Hull predominantly played 3-5-2 rather than a lone striker. He's getting towards offering little resale value too.
Watching the U21s and Redmond and Carl Jenkinson's link up play is very good. Would be a good option for us on loan.
As this was posted at 13.07 p.m. yesterday, I was just wondering what NCFC / Radio Norfolk's interpretation of the word highlighted above may be?! This summer, next.......... I do hope it hasn't hit the skids for any reason, I'd love to have YM in the squad
It may be that the post medical contract negotiations take longer when it involves signing on fees and such. Still a bit strange though.
I'd imagine that had been hashed out before the medical. No point wasting the money on a medical for a player you might sign.
Someone on twitter just said that it's likely to be officially announced once his contract at WBA is up. Which is normal procedure, apparently. Even a hint from NCFC would be welcome, with precious little else to talk about football-wise!
Would make sense. That will be July 1st although we've announced players that are going to sign before.
Nice thought but the rumours from the Emirates seem to suggest that he will either be part of their squad next season or sold - possibly as a part exchange for a player Wenger wants. Apparently Wenger can see no sense in sending him out on loan again as it won't tell him anything he doesn't know already.
