So, are the others just waiting for City to bump the price up before they bid?
Maybe. Or maybe they would rather take their time in the transfer window considering it's still June.

You haven't got complete control, over it at all.
He's openly said he wants to leave, he's only got 2 years left, so he has to go this window in order for you to gain the maximum value that you can from the sale. Therefore, clubs know that you won't shut the door in their face as you have to sell this window, therefore you're not in control as you would be if he had say 3 or 4 years left, as you can't let it roll on beyond August.
He's not even the best young player in the EPL let alone the World ffs.
Take a multi £m hit to prove a point? Behave.Actually, clubs think we don't have control but reality is, we do. We could just refuse to sell and take the hit, no one is forcing us to sell, not even Raheem can do that!

The only way they won't sell is if they dig their heels in too far and City move on to another target
You really should read the thread properly [HASHTAG]#lazybaldbatard[/HASHTAG]Agreed, but to claim we're not in control is equally silly. The lads got two years left.

City already thinking about another bid after their last "final bid"
Looks like all those rivals saying we needed to accept the offer a few pages back know nothing![]()

If Liverpool get more money for Sterling it will either be invested in mediocre players by Brenda or banked by John Henry. Or, as you've predicted, Sterling will stay at Liverpool and once again be part of a strike force that is second only to City's.City already thinking about another bid after their last "final bid"

Fair point. He might wake up tomorrow and realise that Liddypool is de greatest club in de world. Going to Anfield is like being in a cathedral with people who may be strangers but who feel like family. Money and trophies will suddenly count for nothing as the London lad has the epiphany that leads him to realise that winning **** all with Liverpool is what he was born to do. YNWA.You might want to throw a few more scenarios in there, make sure you've covered every possibility like...
Like your prediction of getting £40m plus the QPR 20%, plus the agents fee! plus the PL tax is going to prove to be accurate.![]()

PAPERS: CITY TURN TO WILSHERE
We conclude today's Sky Sports transfer blog with a look ahead to tomorrow's Paper Talk.
And The Mirror suggest Manchester City will switch their attention to Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere after failing with their latest bid to coax Raheem Sterling to the Etihad.
City are expected to make an initial £30million move for the Arsenal midfielder, shortly after their revised £40m bid for Sterling was rejected late on Wednesday.

We wanted a winger/AM
But instead we're going to turn to a CM
