http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/06/17/report-qpr-rivalling-nottingham-forest-for-jamie-ohara/ O’Hara spent the 2014/15 season with Blackpool, and a report in the Blackpool Gazette claims that QPR and Forest are keen on signing the 28-year-old midfielder. The Seasiders offered him a two-year deal at the end of last season, but following the exit of manager Lee Clark it is not expected that he will sign a contract to stay at Bloomfield Road. This has opened up the possibility of him moving away from the club, and after impressing in the Championship during Blackpool’s dreadful season, Forest and QPR are keen on agreeing deals with him. The midfielder started his career with Spurs, going on to make 56 appearances before leaving White Hart Lane for Wolves in 2011. He has struggled to settle since then, with his time at Blackpool the first time he has impressed for a number of years. He has proven Championship quality, and still has age on his side, meaning that on a free transfer he could prove to be a shrewd signing. Despite the Blackpool contract offer, it is likely that a move to the Championship is set to occur, and it remains to seen which of QPR or Forest will finalise a deal for him. What do you think of that?
I am sure that he would jump at the chance of joining us as it is much closer to his family in Kent. (I didn't say he would be good for us.)
Just told my son this piece of news. His the response to the Mackie deal was to threaten to start going to Brentford. For this one it was "OK. El Hadj Diouf next then".
