We really shouldn't be just alright. We're only alright because we've got a useless dinosaur as a manager. If we had a manager in the mould of Mourinho or Guardiola or Klopp I reckon we could definitely challenge to win the Euros and get deep into the World Cup.
I think serious questions have to be asked about Hodgson now; we shouldn't be conceding two against Slovenia and a very poor team selection has let us down - it was obvious to almost everyone buy Hodgson that both Jones and Townsend shouldn't have been playing. I think we should be deciding sooner rather than later - is this the man we want to take us to the euros?
Well, we won, so whatever. None of these games really matter as with 24 teams in the finals, every Tom, Ludwig, Viktor and Nicolai will qualify anyway. Good job the ref didn't spot Lallana's dive for the equaliser, or he would probably be feeling a little sheepish. Moral superiority was not lost though because although elbowing Wayne Rooney may be within the unwritten spirit of the game, it's still a red card.
I would hasten a little caution because apart from 1990 and Euro 96, we've not even been able to smell a good tournament.

Hoddle is a hypocrit though. Going on about 'When you have a player like Lallana that has those skills and create something you have to play him. Even if he does have a bad game or go missing sometimes'

Better in the second half but you can't play Townsend and Sterling in the same side. Neither of them pass unless they shout ONE TWO. Then when Sturridge is back that will be 3 of them.
Wilshere seems to be getting better in that position. Better than when he is further forward and trying to dribble through players rather than around them.
Henderson seems to have developed bad habits though from playing with Gerrard so much.

Well i enjoyed the Slovenia v England game, especially 2nd half. I note that quite a few of the 'big' European teams are given the run around by 'lesser' teams from time to time these days, so cant see that England are that much different. At least they managed to pass the ball to one another occasionally yesterday, apart from Jones who only managed to direct a throw-in to an opposition player. Since 96 we have a very poor tournament record so i dont have high expectations any more, although that hasnt stopped me having to buy a couple of new tv's since Euro 96 !
Ibrahimovic did this in the CL game against whoever it was (Chelsea?) He picked up the foam, moved it to the side, tried to do a new line and repositioned the ball.
