    Guardian reporting that Blatter may renege on decision to stand down because of 'overwhelming support from Asian and African nations'.

    At this point he will struggle to cling on. He's clearly under investigation, hence the original statement, he will be forced out if he doesn't go. Ultimately there are oy two continents that really matter when it come to football, Europe and South America, the money follows them.

    Supposedly he believes he has a mandate now he's got fresh support despite what came out post-election. Nothing would surprise me at FIFA now.

    Does he not have to go to US for a FIFA meeting this year? He obviously will not do this for fear of arrest. Staying in Switzerland is safe for his as they usually will not extradite their own nationals, according to the large Swiss community here where I am.
