In the hope it helps I will now go and find the posts I left as breadcrumbs to at least try and give me a tiny chance of credibility....

:(

When the cartel tried to recruit and failed (according to you) on the 1st & 2nd day it simply said "The Cartel did not recruit" but when they tried to recruit and failed on the 3rd day it said "The cartel have recruited" or whatever. Surely if they had failed to recruit every day the information would be consistent?

Why would the information say they recruited when they didn't on the 3rd day?

Ok, that was a terrible result (again) but i do finally have some good news to deliver.

I am an innocent townie who was given a task to gain a hidden power. I don't expect you to accept this no questions asked but please bear with me.

It is complicated and far-fetched enough to read, but you should have tried playing it. It hasn't been easy.

I was told that if I had to successfully save someone named by the detective as guilty from lynching then I would be granted he power of immunity from recruitment and the ability to name Pablo if recruited. My power would be a poisoned chalice though. If the detective died before I fulfilled my task then I had to save someone named by the Psychic. If the psychic then died before I fulfilled my task then I would die from illness. (I don't know if Gerrez was given a task but that might fit in).

I had to then decide if I wanted to save a known 'enemy' in order to get the power and save myself. Seemed like a weird power to be given though i suspect this has something to do with AFC knowing at the start that something was going to happen to the investigations.

On the first night the detective died straight away and Valley named Tobes. If you look back I did originally start out trying to save Tobes but then decided that there was no point fairly quickly as it was clear that everyone was piling on him rather than MITO. It was too vague a power and I was not important enough to the game to risk anything for.

On the second night Valley named MITO and this time it quite quickly became clear that quite a few people had doubts so I decided to go for it. I had already decided that I wouldn't have saved the serial killer if he had been named, but if I saved a mafia he would no doubt be up for eviction again. That is why i worked so hard to save MITO. My posts were genuine though and I only went at it so hard because it quickly became clear that there were real problems with the investigations. I strongly suspect that AFC put this provision in because of the investigation switches.

Once MITO was saved from lynching (tho killed by the meth head) I was recruited that same night. I don't know if that was game mechanics or chance, but seems like a hell of a coincidence to me.

I wasn't allowed to act for 24 hours. I wasn't allowed to even name Pablo in a single post (check back I didn't even mention his name once). I tried to hint throughout the day that it was worth waiting to see the situation improve as we may have new powers today. I also dropped hints throughout the day as to what was happening as I knew this would appear far fetched and probably wont be believed. I will do a post in a bit linking all of my posts dropping hints.

I am not the only one who had to fulfill tasks to gain a power. I have been watching from the start and I think others have had to do the same - especially suspect Bodanki and Funky of being in the same boat. Funky is obviously dead but he can confirm yes or no.

Anyway. The 24 hours is up and I am allowed to name MIKEY as Pablo. There are no other members of the cartel. I am still an innocent townie and have no other powers now.

If we lynch Mikey then there is also a 50/50 chance that I will die with him. I was told that was the cost of my revealing him.

Mikey actually did try to recruit Biscan on the first night and then Gerrez on the second night. He then recruited the only player who was immune to recruitment. Another set of far fetched circumstances, but thats the way it is.

I know it will be hard to believe but if you vote Mikey you will see that he is Pablo and this will confirm it. I have tried to act in the best interests oif the town throughout the game but suspect that this post will be my death knell.

The one thing i would say, is that if I am not a townie I have no reason to post this. I think I have most people's trust before this - though it wouldn't surprise me if that now disappeared.

Two thoughts:

1. That sounds like a whole lot of bollocks
2. That sounds like exactly something AFC would try to pull off in his magic hidden Mafia land of mystery

I am unsure what to make of it, but then MITO wrote an essay and I thought the same thing and he turned out to be legit. I'm unconvinced, but can't think how this can be some sort of weird double bluff. Ultimately I am on Mikey anyway, so this really changes nothing for me.

Page 92 - referencing hat why I worked so hard to save MITO would become clear

The thing is, if you hadn't gone all out begging for likes then you know you would have had them by now. All you had to do was post something funny. Apart from the fact I get suspicious of you in mafia games anyway my great fat trickster, I also get suspicious of people who campaign too strongly for something (says he who campaigned for MITO not to get lynched - a point that might be worth remembering before this game is done).

Page 99 - referencing that I was SURE there were extra tasks

I don't know. Was convinced he was the hidden town role at first but he has gone very quiet. However, that could be down to anything. He also did the vote jumping like MITO did which I still think was probably task related. I am sure there are a number of task related actions going on in this game.

Page 100 - things will get better over the next 2 days (thinking Funky had 1 more day to go on his task from what he said)

That needs to be planned very carefully. It is full of hidden dangers. We can't be too indiscriminate. We (possibly) only have 2 more players than the combined bad guys and severely limited powers. Like you said earlier, our situation could improve over the next couple of days. Who knows. While we need to gamble a little, we should try and focus on those arousing suspicion and who are not helping us so that if we do get it wrong then the losses are mitigated slightly.

Page 102 - just dropping hints that I would be in better shape once things panned out

From my own point of view I have a feeling that playing the long game in some ways could benefit the team. So I would agree.

I think the main aim tonight has got to be to try and find out more info and bringing some unknowns out into the open while also doing minimum damage so that we are in a position to push on tomorrow.

Page 103 - Couldn't mention Mikey's name - this one makes less sense now but at the time Mikey and ACS were tied on 3 each

I wonder where we are with the votes.

Think at the minute its between ACS and one other, but not sure.

Page 104 - my voting choices were restricted by rules

I'm unsure at the minute. I feel restricted in what I can do due to some unknowns so for now I will shift to Nolberto and watch what transpires. I suspect there could be some late changes tonight and I want to see what happens.

That's it i think.

All I can do is leave it out there for you to decide.

They did recruit. As far as Mikey was concerned he had recruited me. I was given access to the cartel board. I was recruited but just immune from its effects and stayed a townie.

I'm knackered now <laugh>

As it stands there is a 50/50 chance I die with Mikey anyway. I've had a lot of luck so far - especially with regards to MITO, so I'm expecting that to run out at nightfall and I will be dead. Either way, if you lynch Mikey you will see I am telling the truth.

Well, Mikey's pretty much admitted it now so it seems to be true but that rule about not being able to recruit you seems like a load of rubbish on the hosts part.

I've just said to Mikey on the Cartel board that he has to go down as the unluckiest game player in history. I'm not surprised he's given up and admitted it lol.

Haha sorry chaps I feel like I should put up some kind of a fight as it makes it a bit daft if I don't but didn't seem like much point! If there is a God in heaven he did not want me to win this game. <laugh>

He doesn't want you to take part let alone win <laugh> Unlucky mate.

So are there any cartel left then?

No, Mikey never successfully recruited anyone.

He was only allowed to recruit every other night. If his recruit failed he could try again the next night. That is why he was allowed to try both Biscan and Gerrez. He wasn't allowed to recruit last night because he had 'recruited' me the night before.

We need to decide who we want the schitzo to kill as well as Mikey.

We need to find the serial killer. If we find him I think we win. Even if we miss him I think we've got a good chance of hitting mafia.

I know that I will almost certainly die at nightfall, so I can now go all out accusing people and seeing what happens. I have nothing to lose.

For what it's worth, and I can't believe I am going to say this, I strongly suspect you are now the only person I know I can trust. Despite the arguments I had decided that I could trust Funky. It's a real blow that he was killed. I'm not sure what our meth head is up to. We need to go back and check the rules cos he seems to be killing all the wrong people, but more than that, people we know are the wrong people before he kills them.

Has he possibly been recruited by Mafia? Is that why they are not killing? There is nothing in the rules about it so it's doubtful. But then the whole thing about mafia not killing is strange. They have only had one confirmed kill that we know of. We still don't know for certain how or why Gerrez died (unless I missed something). The whole thing about him dying of illness fits with the fact that I knew that was my fate if I didn't save someone before the detective and psycho died. Perhaps it was either his task or another town member's task where a random team mate was killed, or maybe even a mafia task where he was killed as a reward. I honestly don't know.

The whole thing about the mafia not killing is a strange one. We've been concentrating on them starting the game with two hits and then adding to them. But is it possible they started with two hits and then swapped one in exchange for reversing investigation results? We haven't had a single successful investigation since day one - and we still don't know about Tennis.

Perhaps Tennis would be a good one to go for? I've been saying all along that I have a gut feeling that he is a townie, but he was named 66% likely to be mafia on day one and we haven't tested it yet - and we're on day 5!!

I still say go for he serial killer. The serial killer started as a townie though so it could be someone who started off trustworthy and has changed. Has anyone's actions suddenly got more suspicious or has anyone drifted into the background?

Put it this way, my investigation was geared at gaining clarity.
