Probably not the best in Hoops ever but in terms of skill, the best I reckon I'll ever see playing for us.
Thats a bit of a short term view pal.....do you think Man City fans thought Shaun Goater was the best they'd ever see ten years ago, now they have Aguero.....maybe CR will sign the next Messi......it's the hope that keeps us going (and kills us in the end!)
Depends on your viewpoint. I'd say in absolute terms that Aguero, Silva and Toure are vastly better players than Adel but I'd be say that none of them has his level of dribbling ability (tending to keep the ball a good distance from the defender in Silva's case and using more speed and athleticism in the other two's case). I know I'll get shot down by many but watching Adel run with the ball is more entertaining than watching any of those. His decision making is questionable (ie his holding onto the ball too much) and fitness lacking but when it works it's as good as anyone.
I think we can all agree that it was a shame that he didnt do it for us in at least 1 season in the prem, championship winning season was fantastic. Am sure many of us will also watch a few Benfica games (or whoever) next season.............will probably go on and win the Europa cup twice in a row like M'Bia !!!!!
Again - nice try at twisting what I didn't mean. Taarabt is a waste of a squad number, and it's all his own fault. he could have been a superstar, but he simply couldn't be bothered. And so the vast majority see the luxury of the odd 10 seconds of skill a season are simply not worth the baggage. he's unfit, he's 'injured' most of the time, and when he isn't, no manager for years has seen fit to include him regularly. says it all for me. The sooner he is part of QPR's history the better. Clear enough for you?
In the next 48 hours the club will announce you will be able to buy food at half time in honer of him. please log in to view this image The Adel super cheese burger!
Nice try at twisting what you said..? So rather than explaining yourself you raise a completely different point When asking anti-adel mobto answer direct questions you just say something completely different and as long as its anti adel the rest of the plonker squad give it a like. This is basically how it goes if you subsistute the words 9/11 for Adel Taarabt
OK, let me dumb it down for you - seems that's your level. Adel wasted his time with dreams of a big money move to Italy. He didn't train, he didn't eat properly, he couldn't be bothered. He believed he was far better than the players around him, but he rarely, if ever, showed that.. And not just with us - his international career was ended because he believed his own press clippings. And yet he happily sat for selfies and shook hands with any fan who would idolise him. HE is the stereotypical fancy-dan. On the other hand, players like Charlie Austin, OBZ, Jamie Mackie, Alan McDonald, even Joey Barton - when they crossed the line, they put in 100%. It may not have been as pretty with some of them, but it was far more effective, and far more available. Some games we won, some we lost, but it wasn't through lack of effort or application, nor was it through a surfeit of pies or pipe-dreams. And if they had shunned fans, we would not have minded, because they played for the shirt, not for their ego. OK? Try twisting THAT round.
Brilliant! Damage v Chaz, two posters who never back down under any circumstances, including the provision of objective evidence which contradicts their position! The vortex has been initiated! Only need Flyer to come back and join in and that's the rest of eternity sorted. Enjoy yourselves lads.
There is no hatred here, just a clear and concise opinion. He is a victim of his own success, but the point is that he refused to do his job. You compare him with SWP who did his job, but didn't have the ability to get into the first team. If what I have read is true about SWP he still trained and was a part of the squad. Barton always gave 100% on the pitch. It has got absolutely nothing to do with him not being English, suggesting that I have implied that it is an issue is detrimental. Whatever talent he has and whatever he achieves in the future, he is still one of the bad eggs that we are clearing out.
He's just saying that I'm wrong, I'm trying to explain - at ever simpler levels - so that he can't misinterpret my position any more. I hardly think we're approaching this in a similar manner......
