Keep him and sell Sandro to try and re-coup some of the £6m or £10m we paid for him depending on which journal/website you read and believe.....

Did the holding job well last time we were in Championship, knows his limitations and basically does the simple things well....that way he can allow the younger lads play the box to box roll.....

100% this - think he is a much better player than Sandro who has been pretty abysmal for us

I would have kept him - plus we should have players in before getting rid of our existing players

My thoughts exactly. I still think he's under-rated on here. Unlike most who come to us he seems to have improved a lot in his time here. Think he was one of our better players in the PL, and with Barton apparently going, I think he would be a major asset in the Championship. Hope he stays one way or the other.

Would like to see some players stay for this season! Henry has shown quality before so we know he can do the job, championship will suit him well as one again he has shown before.

Need to be careful if we continue releasing players we'll be turning up to games with no subs lol!

He is a player whose chief attribute is stopping other players from playing. The rest of his game is about him trying to find a pass to a player who is no more than 10 yards. Crikey when we waxing lyrical about a player with his limitations we are desperate. Get rid.

Wasn't that what Sean Derry did? I (and most others) was happy with him.

That's his job isn't it? Hence why often brought on to protect a lead / hold draw. It's a bit like saying all green does is make saves.....

As I understand it if he wanted another year we were obliged to offer it to him so it seems like it was his decision not to invoke it.
