i post very rarely, i prefer reading posts, but one thing that does my brain in is ppl claiming we should change from our 4-4-3 formaition. arsenal play 4-2-3-1 we have done for quite a while now. also, please no one else suggest a 4-4-2 with this as our midfield fab-wilshire-song-arshavin.......urgh!!! (fabs not a winger) apart from that, hows every 1 feeling about next season? i feel we will do the usual top 4, im happy with the gervinho signing, we need a good winger! (second striker) and ryu (hadukeeeeeen!) sounds like such a good prospect. and sorry to moan again, but please dont diss people on spelling mistakes. being able to spell well is NOT a sign of intelligence. COYG
I agree with the welsh **** We definatly need to change to 4-4-2 from 4-3-3 because the 4-3-3 we play now isn't as good as 4-2-2 a midfield of fab-wilshire-song-arshavin that would be really good and would work better than the 4-3-3 we play now
I'm in favour of 9-6-4 but to conform, yeah I'd like to see 4-4-2. In fact, I'd like to see any formation at home where we start with 2 out and out strikers. Ideally rvp off Walcott in a central role as I reckon he'd wreck teams from there where he can't get easily marked out of the game as he frequently is on the wing.
id love to see us reveart to 4-4-2 also, that wasnt my point with this thread, but i cant believe some gooners think fab should be on the wing. hes not a winger, hes a central playmaker, he would be wasted on the wings. if we were to go back to 4-4-2 my line up would be........and just my opinion btw........... shez sagna djouro kos verm nasri wilshire gervihno fab RVP walcott
Being able to count is though.. Think we should keep the 4-4-3. Would not get away with would we. Someone is bound to notice. ????
just realised the mistake, 4-4-3, really sorry, i meant 4-3-3, i think u knew that tho, why not just talk about the post, discuss arsenal rather than being anal about things like that.
What's wrong with 4-3-3? I'd have thought it would be perfect for Arsenal. Usual back 4 and GK. Fabregas Song Wilshere Gervinho v.Persie Nasri ?
No, have you never seen a 4-3-3? Song Wilshere---------Fabregas Gervinho----------v.Persie----------Nasri
It's ok, difficult to show formations properly on here. How far would you say that is from your best midfield and strikers?
sorta close, but i started this thread cos although many ppl think we do, we dont play 4-3-3. gonna be like this next season i think song wilshire gervinho/walcott fab/ramsey nasri/arshavin van persie although id love to go back to 442
People need to get a grip the 442 is an antiquated system. 1.Last team to win the league with a 4-4-2? Us in 2003-2004 (which was more of a 4-4-1-1 anyway)the last team to win it with a traditional 4-4-2 was United in 1998-99. 2. Last team to win the European Cup with a 4-4-2? Real Madrid in 2001-2002. 3. Last team to win a World Cup with a 4-4-2. Brazil in 1994. Just saying. Also the op is right, last Season we did'nt play a 433 (except against United and against Newcastle) for most of the year we played a 4231. 1. A 4-2-2 is not more attacking than a 4-3-3. It's a myth, mainly because the English press generally cant tell the difference between a 451 and a 433. 2. A 4-3-3 does not have traditional 'wingers' but should contain three forwards - they are not part of the midfield. (much like Barcelona who play Messi/Villa out wide) It's a much more attacking system than say a 4-5-1, something the English football press get consistantly confused about. 3. Nearly all of the better domestic and international sides have now adopted either a 4-3-3 or various four-banded formations (4-1-2-3 etc.) that allow a certain extent of fluidity within it’s constraints, thus facilitating a much more open and expressive style of football. Yup.
