Probably not very PC, but most people must surely take little pleasure in seeing a bunch of what appear to be rather masculine women (dykes, some might say) trying to play a game that is quite beyond their natural abilities. Indeed, even allowing a bunch of creatures designed with no inherent sense of spatial awareness or co-ordination, air-time to show off their "skills" seems somehow, just wrong. I think this whole thing is pandering to the equality brigade at its worst.
Are you talking about a Rangers game last season just swap England for QPR and Sampson for redknapp.
You can't compare the men's game with the woman's but watch it as a completely different game, women's football, I like it, c'mon England
What do you like about it? Without resorting to looking out for the fit ones (check out USA's 19) I can't find one good thing about it.
I watched it and tried to like it, but if the truth be told it's poor to say the least. Of course that is putting it politely. There was one point in the v French match when the whole of the two sides congregated in the corner. The ball got booted to the other side of the pitch and they all moved as one towards it. It was like watching a Harry Enfield '50's football parody or a schoolboy game when you were ten years old.
One of the problems I have, is that I live next door to the BBC presenter for the women's world cup Jacqui Oatley and she keeps talking to me about women's football and how it's on the up. Being very polite as I am I stroke my chin and nod in acknowledgement of my understanding of ladies football. ( I sometimes randomly have a quick 'Google' to see who is doing what in that alternative universe of the football world and use this information during our conversations, she seems impressed with my depth of knowledge

She is just too nice to let her know the truth and unleash both barrels about the reality of it all, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Ho-hum.

Can you tell her from me that she's a terrible reporter on MOTD and wouldn't be anywhere near such a position if she had a penis?
I know what you mean mate but if I was asking the same thing of you it would put you in a very awkward position. All I can say is that she is a very nice person and knows her stuff. She comes across a lot better when the BBC go live around the grounds on 5 live rather than presenting.
But in fairness, she was the first ever female commentator ( Fulham v Blackburn? ) on MOTD and the pressure that involved took it's toll. She freely admits that she made a mess of it and was forced to do it, but has come back and done a good job. Especially the live stuff. The great thing with her is that you can bring up anything and everything to do with football and she'll know about it. She know's football.
I was joking mate. Don't actually tell her that. Would be slightly awkward.
Is it politically incorrect to say it's a job that just doesn't suit women? Or at least a woman's voice? Frank Maloney maybe as a happy medium
I could possibly enjoy/care abou it if I had something mentally invested in the game, however I invested my emotions with those in blue and white hoops, and at times the mens international side, many, many years ago and struggle at times to care about the Englands mens team half the time. The Quality issue aside I just couldn't give a single ****

Calm down I'm sure callin women footballers lezzers trying to be men a bit much, I know a woman who is contracted to Leicester ladies and I can categorically tell you she is a butch lesbi.... ahh
I don't watch it, oh hang on while I fake interest, no can't do it. Not saying others don't enjoy it but does nothing for me and by the looks of it many others, this might be due to many reasons be that standard of football, lack of association with the team, etc.. Not going to pretend to care, bit like I have no interest in crown green bowls, or tennis.
