Into the valley of death rode the 600...........I'm with Sterling. Anyone that doesn't tip is a doss ****. That right there is a line in the sand.
Ah but it's not as simple as that Carmine.... I always without exception tip in a restaurant, 10% minimum if it's awful, more if I enjoyed the experience. The discussion is why is it expected to tip them and not other deserving service providers? Sterling seemed to suggest it's cos they work long hours and get paid poorly well my response is loads of other jobs do that and they knew what they were signing up for. I got no response to my question of does anyone tip when having a good experience in McDonalds because I assume nobody does. But why?
And what about nandos. You get a waiter service there, but because you pay up front, I bet plenty don't tip.
I tip every ****er I come into contact with. Bit like Ern. Hairdressers, milkman, bin men, paper boy. I even topped a bloke in a record shop because he found me a rare AM PM CD. It gives me an enormous feeling of well being.
I don't go to Macy's very often, but if I pay in cash I usually let people keep change unless it's alot. They always just put it in charity pots which is why I guess I do it. Still tipping in a way but if it was going into the staffs drugs and booze funds I probably wouldn't.
Hey, what you get up to in your day job is your business Carmine. I don't feel comfortable bring privy to this information. I saw what happened to Stacks.
