Does that mean the town should do nothing on day one then? If the Mafia aren't going to react to anything then what's the point of a coin toss? As you say, we are most likely going to kill a townie, so why do their work for them? With only two kills, the Mafia seem pretty impotent given they have to take out 13 people to win.

If we have three investigators, and potentially four if the schizo investigates someone, so why not focus on investigating people instead of just stringing them up at random?

Rules state there HAS to be a lynching every night.....
We could just all abstain and have everyone up for the coin toss?
Unless something comes to light there isn't really anything to go on.
Though I still favour targetting the quiet folk, just for the fact that they are either mafia, or useless to the town cause.

Maybe the hidden town role is the avenging angel like in the last game? So MITO wants us to string him up then he can go kill some Mafioso!

I'm waiting with baited breath for his predictable effort to wum about Utd now...

He's defo making a concerted effort to draw fire. Maybe it's diversionary tactics......

why would he want to kill his own team though?

no i think we need more than simply one vote on a large amount as nobody will speak up and nobody was talking. I felt everyone was too scared to put a second vote on anyone so I thought... hey lets spark something

I said in my earlier posts the coin toss today is not good odds. they change of getting a bad guy in a 3 or 4 compared to the chance of getting all innocents in there is too high

The rules also state (i checked cos they were mine originally) a lynching must occur.

Therefore like it or no someone dies by the towns collective hand tonight

I would think our investigators need to focus on finding bad guys and when they do figure out how to get them killed.

I agree with the mafia having only 3 people and only 2 kills they are right up against it. In fact the mafia have the cartel which are going to be a huge problem for them to beat out. the cartel by day 3/4 could be very powerful

Most have already voted, so I don't see how it would be possible to all abstain now.

There'll be at least one role in the shadows, so we should aim our fire there imo.

no just trying to spark stuff. If i get lynched you'll see i'm innocent then.. just like what you said when the silly lads lynched you last game.

Are you innocent by the by?

Well both the mafia and town have a secret role each.
Sniffing out what that entails would be interesting, though i dont see how thats possible until such an action is taken by the person in that role.

I brought this up so that is one little tick in the helpful to town column for me..

when did valley vote for lucaaas..

right who's not got a vote then..

Valley I'll talk to you after your dinner at 6pm or so.

I agree that we're unlikely to get a mafia tonight, and SK & Pablo have no one on their team so if they're up for lynching there will be no pattern of someone trying to save them.

However despite this there are two benefits to lynching 3-4 players:
1) it enables the investigative roles to focus on people that are likely to be alive tomorrow
2) if we target inactive players it helps town in the long run. Lynch the helpful talkative guys and by day 3 you're left with quiet mafia and quiet townies, which only benefits mafia.

EDIT:
I also know from previous mafia games that quite a few people just don't bother when they're a vanilla townie role, so good riddance if they have that attitude. Imho being a vanilla townie is one of the important roles, because it's up to the vanilla townies to give off pro-town vibes and figure out who the bad guys are.
