They had a quality player, they couldn't handle him! His expectations were greater than the clubs. I know very little except I asked the question of the right man and was told that the yard was on. He also told me that Squire worked brilliantly this morning and runs at Sandown this Friday, we shall be expectant of another good performance.
Been given a good word for one of willies in the bumper called Prince D'aubrelle. This lad finished second at Punchy in early Feb but hated the soft ground, they think he will relish the better ground this evening.Fingers crossed he can oblige at 4s.They also like Gangster in 7.15 who runs for thr first time here after racing in le france, this one is abit on the skinny side for me at 6/4 so watching brief only. Mr Mullins also runs Wood Breizh in the 7.45, didnt get word on this lad but I think he can take this sort of race at 7/2
Thanks Ste - just a note that PP are 4 places in this race. It's 7/2 at present and only 1/5 of the odds but with the ew does give scope for a decent risk.
Why did the jockey on Just Rubie stop riding there?! Would have placed if Harley had ridden out. Stewards will do jack about it as usual.....
Bumped into one there from the de Bromhead yard who was backed off the boards but my lad give him plenty to think about and he still looks a very nice prospect. I like him and I'll be surprised if he doesn't net a real decent pot possibly over 2m2 - 2m4 this summer. Well done any winners today.
The 7:05 at Lingfield looks an absolute shocker of a race, not one I'd ever imagine myself betting in. Having said that, Gabriel's Wawa at 6/4 looks like easy money. He's carrying a lot of weight but would think he should still beat these. The rest of the field only has 2 wins between them!!
Going to with a couple of bigger priced horses tonight. 7.25 AMERICAN SPIN 14-1 7.35 TODD 10-1 8.15 CHIEF OF PANAMA 9-1
Cherry Street been hammered in the last at Lingfield (10s to 4s). Hope some one isn't kicking the cat after the race
Well done the ew backers at early prices. Very good run for the money. Thought he had it until the closing stages
