I do not question the fact that you need finance to win it, my point is that the level of financial input has risen dramatically and effectively spoilt it now for at least 16 of the teams involved. My comment about the emotional attachment is personal and probably lost in this modern World. Yes I am sure Citeh fans and those of Chelski don't care how they won their titles, but wouldn't it be marvelous if a club like ours run by little old Delia could upset the apple cart? I know it can't and won't happen, but............
As a fan, I would prefer that we flirt in and out of the PL as opposed to someone such as TF coming in with £Ms to attempt and 'buy' success. I think I'm right in thinking that both Saints and Swansea have wealthy owners, but not sure how Swansea will fare next season. I thought our day out at Wembley was a such an amazing experience and even though we only dropped 1 point to the two teams who got automatic promotion, I'm not sure I'd have wanted it any other way.
