Disagree. Let's get the two international games over. If he plays, his value will go up. If he scores, his value will rise even further. Yes he's thinking of himself - what player in his position wouldn't? But he's not trying to mess us around, he's just being honest about his call up being really important to him.
Also carrying his shoulder condition, he might be thinking that the rigours of another season in the Championship, with more games, much more bump & grind compared to the Premier League, might be harder on his body.
Yeah.... don't mention the shoulder thing. I'm sure it's fine, but we don't want people remembering he had time out over that...
Agree with this - Newcastle are a basket case as well at the moment while Saints are now well run, and being a Southerner I'd expect him to stay south and not move up North (Winter is Coming after all!!)
Still not clear what his fee would be - as a guide, Patrick Bamford is valued by Chelsea at £10m according to WLS - as a proven Premier league goalscorer (...well at least for one season) surely Charlie's value would be well North of that? http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...ews/chelsea-tell-newcastle-united-pay-9408217
Danny Ings looks to be going to Liverpool for £5/6m - he's out of contract hence the low fee - I wonder if Burnley gambled on letting him run down his contract in the hope they would retain the PL status. Seems a great shame for the clarets to end up with such a paltry fee for a 'big' move. I hope they have a percentage of the sell-on. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jun/08/danny-ings-agrees-liverpool-transfer-burnley
Just a feeling I have. Sorry if I've got your hearts racing, but it fits. They need a lead striker, Austin wouldn't need to move his family. Here's what Jack Sullivan, the son of West Ham co-owner David Sullivan says. "We expect a major player signing this week, I'll update you as soon as its done." Thought? Else than me being a knob
Charlie might feel somewhat at home in a Burnley like claret & blue shirt. Maybe they would give us Andy Carroll in part exchange? please log in to view this image
They are announcing their new manager this week, if it's Redkrapp then Charlie would be on his list...
Charlie would be a good pairing with Carroll [assuming he can stay fit] I also heard a rumour that Carlton Cole could be coming to us, hope it is just a rumour.
Sod that they ripped us off with Sinclair and we got those 3 players in exchange (who i can't remember now)
We got Iain Dowie whose legs were shot (and almost immediately became coach and then a hopeless manager) and Keith Rowland who was totally effective, plus about £2 m. We were mugged by WHU then, so let's not see it happen again
