Abd England international with lots of experience in a title winning team with more goals and assists than all our current midfielders last year - yup I'd call that astute.

A forwards who out scored all of ours last year in a struggling side, is 22 so plenty of time to improve and no where near his prime - yup is call that astute as well

Ings signing on 1/7/15. We seem to be getting our business done early this year, whether it is good business remains to be seen

Just hope Spurs stupid 12m bid doesn't have too much influence on the tribunal fee. Can see Burnley turning around and saying well if we had him under contract we'd have got 12m for him... Etc

Andy Carroll played and scored in the championship, came up and did the same in the premier league. Everyone raved about him and he was sh!t

It happens most summers. And then everyone is like "promising early signings, now all we need is CMx2, LBx1, Striker x1...etc etc" Yet it never happens. Mark my words, Ings and Milner have not been bought just to pad the squad out, they will be very much a key part of Rodgers' budget revival

Surely that excuse would not hold up. His contracts expiring, end of.

Well they've already rejected our undisclosed fee so if we don't agree terms it'll go to a tribunal and I can imagine them using that to bump up the value

Andy Carroll was always top player potential and still is. I'v always rated him.

But e has been ruined by injuries. He was rarely match fit for us, the same for West Ham, and he's been a sick note at every club he has represented.

Andy Carroll is also however not suited to Liverpool FC. Him and Suarez were always to different to gel and he was never suited to Rodgers style.

Carroll was never worth £35m when we signed him. Probably £15-20m. But I will always rate him and feel sorry for him with his injuries.

And are a decent start to rebuilding this squad.

  13. I believe the two clubs could agree on a fee before it goes to tribunal  I don't think the £12m should make a difference, otherwise clubs would make ridiculous bids every time a u23 players contract is expiring.

We've been linked with Ibrahimovic again. It looks like Lacazette is joining PSG.

Could we really be signing Zlatan?

Can't see that. He earns about £300k a week and is 33 years old now. Certainly not an FSG signing

But does he have any clubs left who would meet those wages? He's done PSG, Barca, Inter. Bayern dont need him, Rafa wont want him. City or Chelsea maybe. Or United.

Rodgers doesn't like egos. No way he would work with Zlatan, or vice versa for that matter.

Yea but they've already a rejected one offer from us so if we don't increase and agree it'll go to tribunal.

Dont get get get you mean about 2nd part. burnley had an offer of 12m for him and accepted, had he gone to Spurs they'd have pocketed that so if I was then I'd be saying, a player is only worth what a club is willing to bid... Well we had a formal bid of 12m which meets our valuation.

I I don't know how these tribunals are worked out but that would certainly be used if I was in burnleys side

Tottenham ‘start bidding war over Liverpool target Christian Benteke with £20m offer’

They can have him. He'll only be sub to Harry Kane any way.
