I'm actually quite flabbergasted by this. I don't get to as many games as I used to but how the hell can we be second worst in the division?
I appreciate it's a long haul to get here, but that's not our fault is it?
But in terms of all the other facilities the club offers, I refuse to accept we're are 23rd out of 24 <grr>
 
It's a dreadful survey, there's no factoring in the rating the fans would give their own club, in order to set a benchmark.

We're always going to score badly for travel, and the fact we pack our ground out means ticket prices are high. The result can't help either.
 
It's interesting that the previous couple of years, in the PL, we were fairly highly rated. Which I imagine was for the same reasons, no one is surprised by the ticket prices and we were pretty easy to beat. Away days when you lose and have to travel miles are dreadful.
 
As it's entirely ranked on ticket prices (Wigan were selling away tickets for £12...) it's probably fair enough.

But they should call the survey "away fans impressions of ticket prices" rather than bullshit about it being a ranking of "experience"

If it means fewer away fans follow their teams to CR, that's got to be a good thing for our own fans hasn't it?????
Also, with all the new 'fans' having priority membership, it means they'll have more chance of getting match day tickets!!! <laugh>
 
In another of my rants against modern things, next on my hitlist is vox pops. I franky do not care what people in the street think when asked bloody stupid questions. It is like after the budget they ask people "so what do you think to the tax rises, are you happy about it?" Of course they are not but what you are not going to get is a balanced view which might say while I don't like the tax rise (on say VAT) it is a fairer way of getting evenue than say raising National Insurance or reducing spending on the NHS for example. Similarly with the away fans experience vote. Of course anyone living in London would rather travel to see a game at Watford than Middlesbrough and so as we are miles from anywhere (except our dear neighbours) we are hardly going to score well on the numpty question scale. And of course where ipswich fans should score us highly for locality, that is not going to happen is it? they would never give us any credit if it could be avoided and of course they invariablty get stuffed which is hardly going to endear them to us! Please can news organisations stick to reporting just that - the news and not cop out trash.

Well that's certainly not my opinion of Norwich as an away day. Had some cracking times at Carrow Road (especially when the weather's very good) even when we've been beaten heavily by you. The banter's always good too as there's never been the tiniest hint of any trouble.

I think it has to be the combination of ticket prices and travel.

Whilst Norwich away is always seen as a 'must do' match, the lack of a designated away pub, the determination of the police to stop us drinking in the City centre 'undercover', and the overall perception of heavy handed and over-zealous policing means that you would always score low (if at all) with us, regardless of the result.

On the other hand, Watford away is (or was) generally perceived as a great match day experience amongst us lot, despite the fact that we have, until last season, a poor record there, short walk from the station to the ground, away pub on the way, locals up for some banter, unobtrusive policing, a great day out regardless of the result.
