He's a good signing. Not sure the wages are value like, but that's Bosman moves for you I suppose. For those moaning, think on, you could be about to sign Tom ****ing Cleverley ffs
I agree, this isn't something to moan about he's a good player and there's plenty of time to add to the squad. Moan if he's the only signing by September.
He's a Premier league winner and a international. You must be joking if you think we would of got him for a cheaper deal.
Any suggestion on the length of the contract...? People moaning about his contract being so high, what if we'd paid £10m for him and given him £100k per week instead? If he's signed a four year contract, the extra £50k pw would be like us paying £10.4m for him.
I worked it out for two years as that's what I'd prefer the contract to be but thought for arguments sake I better put four years, forgot to change the figure Fixed it now
Wouldn't doubt it for a second which is why I thought I'd better put four years. I'd have paid £10m and given him £100k per week so I've no issue with the £150k TBH. Its about the overall package.
This was my favourite part of the BBC's rumour page today; Manchester United are poised to make a £25m offer for Liverpool's 20-year-old forward Raheem Sterling. (Mirror) OH MY GOD, £25million we must sell immediately and its Man U too all the more reason to sell Can't believe the papers are either bothering to report this ****. 1: £25m 2: Man U 3: LVG is clearly trying to goad Citeh and Chavs to spend some money.
the mirror really should have at least exaggerated if it wanted to sell papers. If they really got an insider sniff at utd which i doubt then the 25mil makes zero snese. If ward is at his tricks and gave them the full line including fee i could see but its so lazy a story that i can't see that having either mancs, plastics, bitters, chav or super reds rushing to buy that paper
In absolutely no way shape or form should we be selling him to Man Utd for anything less than a clear world record fee. Obviously, that is not going to happen so we should just refuse to negotiate with them at all. However, what I'd like to do is string them along, let them believe they have a chance and generally waste their time as much as possible before telling them to do one
