I don't take anything you say seriously Uni boy.

We don't need a shirt sponsor. Tacky idea. They should be banned.

I think we should be sponsored by Neise,s Diner (The Comma is as spelt on the sign) a purveyor of fine English food heartily cooked.

That is my favourite shop sign of all time. I like to imagine a meeting with the sign writer when Neise (I assume she owns it) said:

"I want it to say Neises Diner, you know - with a comma between the e and the s."

"I think you mean apostrophe, madam"

"Apostowhat? Just give me an effin comma there will ya?"

    (sighs) "Whatever you want, madam...."

Love the way you call me 'Uni Boy' as if it is an insult to be at University.

Not our fault you were too stupid to go...

Come on Quill, everyone knows a couple of Ds in Home Ec and General Studies these days and you're straight in to a former poly. It's hardly the bastion of education that it once was.

Well, if you must know, I went with A*s in English Language and Literature, Bs in all the Sciences and Maths, and (even though it is a ****ing easy course) As in Film Studies.

Ds in Home Ec would still be hard for Tickles to get. <ok>

"If you must know"? You're suggesting I asked what you got at A-Level, which I didn't. I mustn't know at all!

Does Film Studies involve studying loads of films in the way that English Literature means reading loads of books? I imagine so.

They didn't have subjects like that when I were a lad.

They just lengthen the name at College, It's English really. Though the majority of English anyway involves reading something.

Film Studies is pretty much that. It's more looking at cinematography, camera technique and how the film is made than anything else.

I'm into doing Film Journalism a lot more than Sport Journalism now. There's a lot more freedom about what you can talk about.
