Maybe a call from the FBI as to certain matters they have unearthed about him just gave him that little nudge which will hopefully restore FIFA to a creditable body..

I think there's a few more to be removed before FIFA can become a creditable body. I don't think that just because the Godfather has gone that all the troops are clean.

Sod the Russians! Hasn't anyone else noticed their continued invasion of the Ukraine for ****'s sake? How can the world hold a damn party there?! And don't get me started on Qatar.

England 2018 and Australia 2022 ;)

They need to change the whole set-up, not just replace him. Get a proper board in there with appropriate checks and balances.

A major problem for any organisation and company is that corruption is not only rife but accepted in many parts of the world. I worked for a major British company once and attended an introduction conference and was told that you would get no contracts in South America without kick backs. Only takes one bad apple and it becomes accepted as the norm. FIFA is so powerful that they could have resisted this...if they had the leadership from the top.

Couldn't care less about the old goat!!! Will it make any difference?

Well, i think FIFA will always have a level of corruption but hopefully this will scale it back. The awarding of a world cup to Qatar was a joke and proved that this was a group of people who no longer cared if their corruption was obvious. The new powerbrokers may be just as corrupt as the old ones but then again they may just have some integrity left in their bodies.

So i dont think we'll get some reformed beacon of honesty out of this and we may be fighting the tide with a teaspoon, but it couldn't get much worse than what it was before so lets just see who gets booted/indicted and who takes their place and how they act.

The king is dead, long live the king!
