I agree with lamberts goal against Scotland. I was in a room with a chelsea fan man city fan man u fan and Liverpool fan all saying lambert was **** and shouldn't be in the squad and then bang first touch!!! I went mental !

Wembley would have been up there but unfortunately I was in France at the time. Already booked flights before dates were announced for the final :(. I do remember sitting in a rural french mill on a 30 year old computer hitting refresh on bbc sport for 90 minutes though!!!

SKD doing a u turn and snubbing Premier League West Ham to stay with us.

The first thing to happen and the best IMO.

The first game back in the Prem when Lambert came on and we scored. I was in a Man Utd pub with my then 8 year old son, stood up anticipating then shouted F****N LAMBERT and lifted up my son before the 'Oops I just swore in front of my 8 year old' moment. The Man U fans loved it, and even more when the second went in. After that game the Man U fans said 'You'll not be going down this season'. They were right GMI was wrong :)

That wasn't my favourite moment but it's up there. I was in a bar just round the corner from Croke Park, Dublin. I had gone on holiday to see the wife's family in Irelamd and before fixtures came out had agreed to go to the Hurling semi-final with her cousin and our sons (great day out that by the way!). The only thing I said was if we're at home on the first day of have to consider flying back just for the game. Anyway, City away and live on TV on the Sunday. We missed the first 40 minutes due to the Hurling but hit the pub for the rest. When we scored those two goals my son and I went mental in our Saints shorts. Most the pub were Hurling fans or doubled up as United fans so they just joined in with us! Cracking atmosphere, cracking game.

Not necessarily my favourite because you all have already mentioned most highlights but one of mine, was Hammonds goal against Leeds, 1st game in Championship. Great goal, great leader (at that time), great satisfaction & showed not only that we were back but had a chance of doing something rather special. And so it continues .....
Ps. I had a Leeds fan with me in the pub pre-match that day. He was so confident of a Whites win & left in disgust when we went 3-0 up !! :emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl::emoticon-0140-rofl:

First game of the first season back on season tickets for us! Almost in front of us too, when Deano struck that.

Funny you mentioned the Hammond goal against Leeds, its the one goal in that season that stands out for me, not sure why I remember it so clearly, maybe its because we were traditionally slow starters, or maybe its for the rather nice arse slide celebration?

SKD's career defining performance against Leeds at Elland Rd. Neil Warnock swearing on live TV at full time.
Lamberts watford hat trick.
Watford and Coventry promotion matches.
Making United look very ordinary at Old Trafford and coming away with a win.

To name a few :)

Rickie's goal vs City
Rickie's goal vs England

Both summarised (the first part of) the completion of an amazing journey from the depths

An honourable mention to each one of those pre/post match interviews where our Nigel put a reassured smile on our faces
