Well said. Perhaps overlooked (in terms of importance) because some people expect goals out of everyone all the time. His contributions are often in the build up and the media in particular overlook that, and of course, it is the most important factor in any team goal. He's a team player as well. I was thinking the same thing. Sanchez and ozil aren't going anywhere and it's important we keep santi and our trio of wizards together. It was positive to hear his comments after the final about competing for the league next season and improving as a team, sounded like he is happy for at least another season.
I was watching our goal of the season nominations the other day and although Santi wasn't the one assisting a lot of the goals, he was usually the person who played the crucial pass or switched the play. He assists assists!
