I mentioned on here previously that myself and 35 other are attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the World's Longest Continuous Football Match in aid of a brilliant local charity, the Testlands Support Project.

It is now just under 72 hours until we step foot on the St. Mary's pitch before we kick off our 100 hour long game.

THIS IS THE EQUIVALENT TO A FULL SUCCESSFUL SEASON OF FOOTBALL IN JUST OVER 4 DAYS; 38 PREMIER LEAGUE, 6 FA CUP, 5 CAPITAL ONE CUP, 13 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, 1 CHARITY SHIELD AND 4 INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY GAMES ALL ROLLED INTO ONE.

Thanks to some incredibly generous donations, I have managed to raise £325 of my £500 target and I'm hoping to hit that goal before Sunday's kick-off!

If you would like to donate, then you can do so at the following link:

For those of you missing football already, tickets are available from 5pm on each of the five days and the game will be live-streamed for those who can't make it.

Thank you in advance for your support - any donations, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated.

If it's a draw will there be extra time?

If it's a draw after 100 hours of football then I will personally match every single donation from a not606 member! :emoticon-0105-wink:

But yes, I think we've agreed to use the classic "next goal wins" in the extremely unlikely scenario that it is a draw :emoticon-0136-giggl

Sponsored my cousin who is playing in this match. Hope the weather doesn't get too bad for you. It is a long time to play in the rain...

Southampton is such a small city, it's scary!

Personally, I'm hoping for cloudy weather for the duration of the attempt, anything more than 2 hours in the sun is painful.

Anyway, thank you for supporting the charity SofaSaint, hopefully this time next week you'll have a record-breaker in the family!

Haha I will do, I'll try and post a few updates on here whilst I'm on the subs bench!

Just found out that I've been named in one of the starting XIs and I've been given Morgan's number 4!

That's actually Steve Williams' shirt. Morgan is just leasing it :)

Just like to say an absolutely massive thank you to all of the generous members of this board!

Thanks to your support, I've raised over £500 which together with the other players takes the total to over £15,000 already!

Only 4 and half hours until kick-off and I'm absolutely buzzing! Hopefully this time next week, I'll be a world record holder!
