I'm not a legal expert of course and the high paid legal expert is still at work as it's still morning here. All I can go by is my basic knowledge and what I have seen of the U.S. system over the years. These are the 2 paths I see them taking. 1 is guaranteed and 2 is highly probable depending on who turns states evidence against higher officials. The U.S. Will be trying for option 2 there is no doubt about that whether they can get the evidence to do it is another matter. Sorry for spelling errors I'm on the girls iPad and it's hard to type on this thing. 1. Basic wire fraud, bribery type corruption charges targeting individuals directly linked to crimes. So Person 1 gives cash to person 2, person 3 participated in the coverup, person 4 ordered it, all are charged. 2. RICO charges. This for those who have never watched mafia movies is the Racatering Influence Coruption Otherization Act. This gives the U.S. Government sweeping powers when it comes to charging people who were not actually directly linked to crimes. Basically it goes like this, members of an organization or company commit illegal acts that benefit said organization or company. Once you establish that this organization has committed RICO crimes then those previous acts can be used to bring every member of the organization up on charges. This is how we arrest mafia dons. The guy on the streets crimes benefit the boss so the boss is charged with RICO offenses as part of what is a criminal network. It doesn't matter that there is 0 evidence the boss knew or committed crimes as soon as you prove he is the boss he can be charged under RICO. So, Blatter is the Boss of FIFA, if the DOJ and FBI can prove under RICO that FIFA is in essence a criminal network where officials commit crimes that benefit the people running FIFA then Blatter will be charged in the U.S. Under RICO as head of a criminal network. Blatter will have to appear in court either charged or as a witness.
So leaks are coming out, Blatter is currently a target of the DOJ but they need people who have been charged to agree to turn states evidence at this point in order to bring charges.
They will all get a deal offer. Most deals probably wouldn't get offered until they hit US soil so I wouldn't expect much to happen until after extradiction proseedings are over and they are extradited.
What got me, was as he entered fifa hq was all the smiling hanger's on, the gravy train must have a lot of passenger's.
Reading a news report on Blatter last night, that for the last 9 years he's declined all invitation's to attend Fifa function's on US soil, wonder why

It's about time they caught up with that Jack Warner and his brothers. They made some crap black and white films, an exception being Casablanca (1942). What a film that is. I like the bit at the end where Humphrey embraces his bird before she boards a Ryanair flight out of Casablanca, a quite remarkable scene because it actually left on time.
